  1. Gladiator in snow - disappointment?

For us SAE, non-metric folks, Google says that is 11 to 19 inches. Yowsers!
  2. Gladiator in snow - disappointment?

I'll be darned. I haven't had that issue, but the whole time people are mentioning about disabling TC, I am thinking 'Don't we WANT traction to be controlled? I know I would like that, it sounds like a good thing!' I couldn't ask of course, or people would know I was stoopit and didn't know...
  3. Rear Under Seat Security Storage : By Diabolical Inc.

Consider throwing in some foam padding like hand held cases have. The type you can pull out cubes for fitting the item(s) that you store in this case. An alternative would be felt padded cardboard top/bottom panels like you a gun safe. The middle vertical panel should be removable so you can...

  6. First trip hauling, trans problem.

Thanks for all the great replies. My trailer/load weight was: 2,979 lbs. Vehicle had about 2,500 miles on it when I started. One way trip was 370 miles. Definitely not driving like an idiot. I was the guy people were passing., specifically to not over stress the vehicle.
  7. First trip hauling, trans problem.

UPDATE: Two days later, it's time to return from the trip. The Jeep has been parked the last two days. I loaded the trailer, and a friend followed me in case the Transmission gave up the ghost. The entire time I have been thinking 'so much for a Jeep being the reliable go anywhere workhorse'...
  8. First trip hauling, trans problem.

I just drove 7.5 hours about 4.5 in mountains. Narrow twisty slow driving. I was hauling a single axle trailer with SxS on it. The combined weight is well below the 7,000 lb tow capacity of the Mojave. I noticed some wound out engine braking, that sounded more like the refusal of the...
  9. Anyone install Quadratec pre-runner lighting?

I didn't have to relocte anything at all.
  10. Anyone install Quadratec pre-runner lighting?

It was the plastic factory bumper. It did have the steel skid plate (a silver-ish color) and will be getting rid to the RockHard WInch Plate. The winch plate would make some good bullet proof armor though. That thing is built like a battleship.
  11. Anyone install Quadratec pre-runner lighting?

UPDATE: I didn't like how high the Winch sat when mounted on a Winch Plate on top of the factory bumper. I replaced it with the Rugged Ridge HD Full Width. (Which was a good install) Here are updated pix with all three pre-runners visible now.
  12. Anyone install Quadratec pre-runner lighting?

If I were to do this, I would put three attached to the left side marker lights, and tie the other three into the right side marker lights. The connectors are seperate. Disconnecting the left side marker lights did not disconnect the right side. I checked. Now you'll have a 6 light setup!
  13. Anyone install Quadratec pre-runner lighting?

Where it was on my Mojave. Follows are some pictures for anyone it might help. Thanks everyone who guided me through this journey.
  14. Anyone install Quadratec pre-runner lighting?

I used your pictures to find mine. It was near im[popssible to get to as mine is installed horizontal to the ground not vertical. I took pictures in case anyone else wants to see what it was lie on my Mojave. I'll post them in reply farther down the thread. Thank-YOu DMXRacing!
  15. Looking for a Front Bumper with specific needs.

I decided to go with this (Rugged Ridge HD full width ) and D Ring shackles. The hooks for quick strap pull outs, and D-Ring shackles for where those would be more prudent. I also decided to get the 'X-Striker Bar' which looked like they would provide a lot more support when it is in use...
  16. Looking for a Front Bumper with specific needs.

That a nice bumper, and price. I wish it weren't a stubby. I like the protection for the wheels.
  17. Looking for a Front Bumper with specific needs.

That is nice. I am guessing the center piece pops out to hold the hawse fairlead? Prices I found are about $895-$1,000+
  18. Looking for a Front Bumper with specific needs.

Hi Folks, I have a Mojave. I chose to install a Winch Plate on the factory Plastic bumper. I want to swap it with a Front Bumper because the Winch sits up too high and obscures the camera. Here is how the winch looks on top of the bumper: I can relocate the controller bump elsewhere, but...
  19. Anyone install Quadratec pre-runner lighting?

I haven't looked. I spent Saturday in the dirt and mud, Sunday cleaning up. Maybe I can get to it this wekend. Depends on what comes up. I'm pretty certain I'll find it under the driver side wheel well once I remove the protective 'stuff' up there. Since the side markers are getting power from...
