Maybe they use the lowest common weight for each trim level of JT in their printed materials for the sake of simplicity and compliance, but can give numbers more specific to the individual vehicle on their website. Assuming the website's weights are actually correct for our individual trucks...
Before I shot the above picture of the strap, I tried the seatbelt. It may have slowed down the seat bottom a little on its way down, but didn't stop it from moving.
I don't expect to ever reach the 6,000 lbs shown in my owner's manual, but I still printed my Mopar info and sealed it in plastic just in case it's ever close and Murphy's Law kicks in. It's going in the glove box.
The max tow number they show here, as far as I can tell, is legit for my...
Based on what ShadowsPapa said, maybe it’s a good idea to save a screen shot of your towing capacity on the Mopar site. You know, just in case you need it in court sometime in the future.
I don't have any regrets, at least not yet. I bought my Sport S with towing off the lot, and it checked every box in my checklist. My checklist included things I didn't want as well as things I did want. I don't rock crawl or even ride trails, and my towing needs are met plenty well without...
I wonder if the whole dash is treated with something unique for water resistance, and that makes it resistant to adhesive.
I tried to stick a command strip hook to mine to the left of the glove box. I went through 5 strips and never got it to stick for more than a couple of days. That's...
Yes!
It reminds me of my old Smokey and the Bandit Trans Am with T-tops I used to have many years ago. Water would fill up the top channel and when you opened the door it would run right into your lap. It was a LOT of water, and the curvature of the top centered it almost right over, well...
I drive a lot of miles so I'm not sure what to expect, but I'm planning to keep it for as long as possible. Maybe 7 years or more? We'll see. Anyway, I like the idea of a real truck that I can use as such, but also have Jeep fun and looks with the same vehicle. I think it's just great the...
That looks very good on your truck. I personally think the stock tires are great, and I'll likely replace them with same when they're worn out. I'm undecided about getting a snow tire for winter NC mountain snow driving. The stock ones may do just fine.
Granted, my truck isn't black and I'm running stock wheels, but I think the longer spoke in the Icons might make them look slightly better while in motion. Otherwise I like both of your choices, and I like that you're going for a little contrast with the body color rather than going solid black.
Oh my gosh yes. I had a 2003 LR and wow, that thing ate my lunch. I was at a point of dreading my next trip, wondering what was going to cost another two or three grand this time. If you ever buy a LR, for the love of everything that is holy, get the extended warranty.
It is interesting for sure, but I would just chalk it up to coincidence since the Raleigh area is chock full of people and a lot of Jeeps.
BTW - for the record, I didn't copy your avatar picture. Any similarity is unintentional. :)
Oh okay - makes sense. Actually 7 And unlimited would work for me. I drive a ot of business miles and I’ll be out of warranty way faster than most people.
True. I've had nice refunds on several car warranties over the years, and I sold an Infiniti last year with the unlimited mile 4 year warranty transferring to the buyer. It was a fast sale for full asking price when I told him that. Cool stuff there.
Just curious - what about the Mopar...
I never really checked the mileage before installing the cover, but it would have been interesting to know. If I think about it next time I'm on the interstate I'll check it with it opened up. Anway, I'm sure it's got to help at least some. With the cover on I'm getting just over 19 mpg...
