Pulled the trigger. Shipping time is estimated at 5 weeks. I may have them painted or power coated before install. Worried about salt water getting between skids and UHMW and making issues.
Well yesterday I refinanced her. Dropped the rate by 3% + they put 2.5% of the loan total into my checking. So with the saving I dropped the hammer on a Aluminum belly skid and UHMW belly skid kit from Next Venture Motorsports. Suppose to ship within five weeks.
Would a big break kit not help with stoping power when adding much larger tires like 37's and up? Would it not help when adding a lot of extra weight like overloading gear and such?
I have thought about big break kits but it is way down on my list.
I think I have finally picked a skid plate system. I am looking at the Next Venture Motorsports aluminum belly skid with the UHMW material. Is anyone running this skid or have any input before i pull the trigger?
Thank you for your time.
I always thought 4lo was for sticky situations until just recently when I had a guide with Off Road Consulting. I ran Petters Mill run, Flag Pole Knob, Snake, and some other trails in 4Hi. It sucked.
4lo gets you down into a lower gear and it is a much more comfortable ride. Way less jerky and...
I have decided that it is time to put my wallet back on lock down till spring again. I will need you all to stop posting all your new toys in order to help keep me on track.
Thank you for your help. I will let you know come spring when it is ok to resume posting.
That is a sweet looking rig. Glad you get to spend so much time in it. Looks like no real body damage... so far:rock:
What is the little red thing under the rear tire? looks like you got booted by a tiny parking cop.
Added 3 more badges. South Marble Head Loop Drummond Island, Trail 11 and Crawler Ridge Rausch Creek. I also got naked for the first time in a long time. The wife lady thought she had a hernia and did not want to lift the top with me. Dr gave her the all clear so I put her to work ASAP:LOL:
Don't want to Fart on this as it looks very well done and sure I kind of like it...but the Gladiator bed is so tinny. Its like a play truck and now a play trailer.
