Seems like “lifestyle” vehicles are what manufactures are going after. If the JT is anything like what the new Ranger is going after; beaches and snowboarding lifestyles, and not more like the rubicon JL specs, it may not be worth it either way. This is really sad and pathetic news from both...

FWIW, I sent an email to Jeep to let them know how disappointing this news is. Maybe enough of us can let them know, maybe not.

since the JT will most likely have the freedom panels, if a company designs it correctly, you could remove the entire hardtop and replace it with the new aftermarket design and the pass through is all but guaranteed at that point. I am really excited to see what these great companies have planned.

Thank you for throwing that together. I was thinking about the extra bed length and the pop-top as well. It will be fun to see what the aftermarket will come up with for these trucks. Phoenix, XP, Earth Cruiser, Four Wheel, or other Pop-up or similar slide in campers, Alu-Cab Ossewa!

If Ursa Minor made a J30 for the JT, what would it look like? Does anyone here have the skills to draw a mock up of a camper conversion for the JT?

I hope the Premium model is more like a Rubicon vs a Sahara. If the Premium has F&R Lockers, Swaybar Disconnect, 4Lo, ~73:1 Crawl ratio and other offered goodies, it would be IMO the ultimate overlanding vehicle for the rocky mountains.
