  1. 4.88 or 5.13 - pulling camper, heavy 37s and steelie wheels

So, with all the advice out there, and 99% of it real good. I'm going to go with the 4.88's. I run 34" tires when I pull my trailer and around town, if I'm forced to drive around town, which isn't often (JT is a 3rd vehicle) I run 37's with no trailer when I want to hit MOAB, or Ouray, or other...
  2. 40" tires... Talk me out of it

Tire weight goes from around 46lbs to 75-80lbs, x’s that by 4 and everything is working harder. Go from a 10” width to a 12.5” width and things don’t fit the same. Want it to be 100% functional? Bigger tires = more than just a little lift. I love to hit the trails, i don’t use it as a daily...
  3. 40" tires... Talk me out of it

Well, I love ambitions, and Gladiators on 40's. I have my Max tow on 37's with a 4.5" lift. I would say this is the only way to go with 37's unless articulation isn't important. I can just about touch my fenders with my tires at max flex with this setup, but I use my JT for trails, camping...
  4. Pinyon Mountain Trail completed.

    Has anyone ever got their gladiator thru the squeeze with no damage? Or is it just geometrically, dimensionally and physically not possible? I am bummed if its not possible, I really want to get that badge. UPDATE; it looks like it is doable;
  5. 3.5" Lift On 35's

so update; I went from 34’s to 37’s and 2.5” blocks to a 4.5” suspension lift. Much better! I am 6’ tall so you can see the height difference with just my head showing over the hood now.
  6. Long Range America secondary fuel tank installation!

You are an impressive pioneer on this aux tank! I love it and will consider.
  7. What features would you like to see on future Gladiators?

Honestly, I'd like a interior that is so basic and weather proof, I can hose it out when it gets dirty. I don't want any fluff, I have a Lexus for that. Basic as basic can be. Maybe a snorkel, with a fording depth that was solid up to the door handles. Something more lightweight and...
  8. Who Has Just The Soft Top????

Honestly I think the hard top makes the JT look like a Chop-top hot rod that should be riding on 20" rims and low profile street tires. I'll see you on the trail with top down and doors off, 17" wheels and 37's roll'n @ 15lbs of pressure. Drive safe, hard or soft top.
  9. Who Has Just The Soft Top????

Do you take your hard top camping & wheeling? Glad you are enjoying your JT
  10. Who Has Just The Soft Top????

something is not right. There is no way for it to fill with air if it is on properly. Never had the issue, and going on 2 years with mine.
  11. Long Range America secondary fuel tank installation!

If you haven't been there before PM me and I'll give you a little insight. I'm planning a July trip there this year, and went last year. I had my mind blown. You'll love it.
  12. Long Range America secondary fuel tank installation!

endless dirt roads in the rockies. Come check it out sometime, glad to show you around.
  13. Yes, 37's and no lift on a 21 Sport will work

I hear ya, definitely one thing at a time. I look fwd to seeing your upgrades.
  14. Long Range America secondary fuel tank installation!

I'm very impressed with this. Been watching the evolution of your JT since they hit the lot, and I appreciate your methodical upgrades to get you out, and further.
  15. Long Range America secondary fuel tank installation!

Don't you go off road ? like I mean for a week? Thats why I got the truck to begin with. I have a car for rest area potty stops along the highway. I like the idea of a big gas tank, or just having more gas to keep exploring, but I live in the Rocky MTN's.
  16. Yes, 37's and no lift on a 21 Sport will work

looks good, but I'd still get a lift if you are going off road. More articulation. and what gearing are you running?
  17. Who Has Just The Soft Top????

only a premium soft top here. I saw no reason to have a hard top with my JT not being a daily driver. I never have to worry about storing a top, whether on the go or at home. JT is always garage parked, or in the woods, never at the mall or in town for the most part. 2 latches and I enjoy a...
  18. Does anyone know of a long range fuel tank?

Cans are ratchet strapped down, and cable locked to the bed tie down in each corner. I have a portable battery fuel pump with an 8 foot hose, so I never have to move the fuel cans for re-fueling. I just unscrew the gas can cap, insert the fuel pump, put the other end in the tank and push the...
  19. Blown Radiator Reservoir

    I hate mud.
  20. Dealership visit for 10k service

the only thing going on is a oil change and tire rotation. I doubt they'll check anything else.
