I re-used the original fuse from the Gladiator's fuse position when I dropped in the add-a-circuit tap. Not sure if that one could be considered junk, but I'm not sourcing parts for Jeep ;).
I should have added that the original fuse was not blown - that was one of the first things I checked...
Went to my local dealer today for the second oil change and was informed there was an outstanding PCM update (I had one done late last year under a recall campaign). The update on my paperwork is:
* 01 RSU 1 [RSU 22-231 22MY JT 3.6 L PDCM SOFTWARE UPDATE ***] 103 W
After I got home, I noticed...
Just dropped it off with a local powder coating company. Price came in at $300 (including soda prep); a little on the higher side for my area - but the company does great work. I’ll post pictures when it’s done.
I recently purchased a bare steel front bumper and I’m on the hook for painting it. I’m currently looking at a few paint choices but wanted to get input from the forum to see which is the easiest to use with the least amount of prep (beyond cleaning it before painting) and offers the best...
I run this power cord and can’t recommend it enough (it works with any Dashcam using the mini-usb connector and draws power using the OBD2 port):

I have it running behind the driver grab handle and tucked into the plastic trim at...
I recently purchased a pair of Bestop’s Granite Rock Rails and I am leaving my honest review of the product. To be fair to Bestop, they were great to work with - their customer service is awesome!
~TLDR - The rock rails look great, are awesome steps and are very sturdy. Unfortunately, the...
I returned them yesterday. The fitment was poor and I couldn’t get them to fit symmetrical on both sides after multiple remounts. The passenger side has a bracket on the frame that prevents the corresponding rail bracket from being properly secured (I don’t see how Bestop missed that). I...
Install was a pain in the rear, took me a couple of hours. The good news: rails look nice, match factory rail colors, connect to the frame and are the same thickness as the OEM rock rails. Bad news - made in China and IMO, they were poorly designed with too many separate brackets, plates and...
I opened the box this afternoon (will install tomorrow). Initial impressions are great, the rails look great, finish is great and they feel pretty sturdy. They seem to be as thick as my Rubicon’s OEM rock rails. I’ll post more tomorrow after the install.
The Bestop rails showed as back ordered when I placed my order. I called Monday and was told it would be 3 or 4 weeks - it’s arriving today. Same thing with the Pritchett Canyon bumper. Thank you Bestop and Barnes!
In an effort to support the down on their luck aftermarket companies I decided to generously purchase the Pritchett Canyon front bumper, Oracle Bi-LED headlights, the Bestop Granite rock rails and a OBD2 device.
I say do it. I traded my 20 Overland in for a 21 Rubicon and couldn't have been happier. The crazy trade-in values (at the time) helped to seal the deal.
It’s a tale as old as time:
1st - Overland trim, traded for 2nd one (crazy trade in value helped seal the deal)
2nd - Rubicon, dealer caused $13k in damages by detailing it for free post purchase. They swapped it out for new one (#3)
3rd - Rubicon, totaled when rear ended by EMS flight...
I started it this morning to drive it to the dealer. Started fine, ran fine, sounded a little rougher; but not like last night :movember:
Dealer scanned it and found a bad wiring harness on one of my rear tail lights. I showed the Service advisor the video and he didn’t know what to make of it...
