If you have a speed related wobble, that is usually tire related.
If you have a generic wobble / instability that can randomly happen over bumps at various speeds, that is usually not tire / wheel related but can be from poor geometry / alignment, like not enough caster.
If you have actual Death...
It matters because the troubleshooting process for a regular wobble is completely different to the troubleshooting process for Death Wobble. They are different problems.
My first concern when someone asks about Death Wobble is to confirm they actually have Death Wobble. It is easy for someone to have a regular wobble and confuse that with Death Wobble. With actual Death Wobble the wobble is crazy violent and won't stop until the vehicle comes to a stop or near...
That was a butt-pucker for sure.
I would love to hear how it did up Rose Garden Hill. That is a beast of a hill, with some serious ledges. You made it up? Congrats.
It is, in my experience, OEM parts. They all use the same exact website format. Just find the one that has the best price including shipping. I did not look for that, and I don't know where you are so I don't know what shipping will be to you. But I have bought from these types of sites with...
As long as they don't nail you on shipping, the online OEM parts stores are usually a better deal than the local dealer.
An exception to that was recently buying a running board for a Silverado, the online supplier was way cheaper but killed me on shipping because of size / weight. Ended up just...
If you really like the Mojave spring rate you have and just want it to sit a little higher, that would be the perfect job for spring spacers. While I generally prefer spring lifts to spacer lifts, if I actually wanted to keep the same spring rate and ride quality I would use a spacer lift. And...
No experience with that, but personally I would either go with OEM or used OEM. I would think there are enough in junkyards to make it possible to find a used setup, complete.
Or look it up in one of the many discount Mopar online suppliers...
A basic rule of thumb is most people will pay more for those warranties then they will get out of them. That is a fundamental rule of business. You have to charge more for what you sell then it costs you. So the math says most people will lose money on them. And the warranty company is always...
I have bought MetalCloak parts from third party vendors, but usually I buy their stuff directly from them. I will say I have seen both lower prices at third party vendors and higher prices vs buying directly from MC.
I wonder if that is adding in the FAD skid.
Either way, unless you are trying...
To go from a 6" lift to a 3.5" lift you should need springs, shocks, bumpstop extensions, all shorter. Those three items need to work as a team, the springs set the lower height, the shocks need to have their travel range centered around that new ride height, and the bumpstop extensions need to...
AEV doesn't do that as far as I know, sell a spring lift without shocks. They do sell a lift with cheaper Bilstein 5100 shocks., which can always be re-sold if you want as they are a popular shock for the JT.
But MetalCloak will sell a lift anyway you want it pretty much, and I think Clayton...
I can't see putting that much into shocks and running a 2" spacer lift.
AEV, MetalCloak, and Clayton all offer nice 2.5" / 3" spring lifts that can ride better then stock.
Other brands no doubt also have good options. But Skyjacker is not one I would pick. In the Jeep lift world they are not a...
If you go with the MetalCloak springs you do not need the AEV Spacer lift, and probably don't want it. However, there are other parts you would want, like a rear track bar bracket, maybe a rear track bar, front track bar, longer swaybar end links, and the lower front control arms you have in...
Something like this might help.
https://www.quadratec.com/p/mastertop/5-layer-full-door-cab-cover-jt-11120709
A cab cover for when you are parked to keep it from getting soaked while parked in a down pour.
It is cheap enough, just carry it with you and put it on when rain is possible while it...
In that size there is a Falken Wildpeak AT4W that is C rated, and weighs 58 lbs.
There is also a D rated KO3 from BFG that lists weight as 55.62 lbs.
Both of these are around $300 each.
While upping to a 285/70 17 does increase the number of choices, Discount Tire lists 16 C rated options in...
Caster correction is important when you lift. Geometry brackets are one way of doing that. But for a 2" spacer lift I think most people would not use geometry brackets. Longer lower front control arms are more common for that small a lift. The Mopar LCAs are cheap and easy, better options are...
I am glad for you that they are willing to throw new steering stabilizers at your Jeep. But it would be better if they actually fixed the problem. You should be able to drive your Jeep without any steering stabilizer. A steering stabilizer isn't fixing DW, it only covers it up. If you are going...
Interesting. I don't use that software, but I know with other options you only need to set tire size. That alone tells the system what size tire you have and that makes the speed, odometer, automatic transmission, ABS, and TCS, all work correctly.
Here is a thread on it, that might help.

No idea, but I wonder if the ABS issue happens if you drive it with the wrong tire size set.
