I fabricated a carbon fiber/ epoxy 4# cab side bed panel and routed out some slots for straps as an alternative to 20+# steel.
I chose to use straps to hold gear bags dedicated to specific use, tow straps, jumper cables and battery, first aid, water, tie downs, etc. they snap off in seconds...
just started with them. I do marine canvas work and could not make them for what Amazon charges. @ $13 each they seem sturdy. time will tell... came w plastic carabiner, 2 snap straps and US flag Velcro patch
"AMYIPO Tactical Pouch"
a few more nylon molle bags for the <5# DIY carbon /epoxy molle panel installed against cab. Bags hold Co2 tank, tie downs, tow strap, folding shovel, tire repair kit, water, first aid, clears rear underseat storage and doesn't weigh much. If I unbuckle and remove bags I've only lost 3/4" of...
my sport s w285/75/17 tires rubbed and required spacers to make it go away. got a little poke now not obnoxious. they work AWESOME, wife even uses them when fooling around in big bear with sisters for a smoother ride. glad she liked them so i dont have to justiry the expense LOL.
I like the Wet Okole neoprene seat covers. dog hair and dust vacuums easily. I use a dog hammock in the rear for 105# Akita to contain explosion of dog fur. Takes about an hour to vacuum everything after a long dusty day in So Cal mountains or desert.
got the front Eibach shocks on today, much different ride over the speed bumps down the street. I'll tackle the rears on Friday, gotta race the beer can sailboat race after work tomorrow.
Not sure yet ,not familiar with trails there. Dishpan looks too extreme for us . not willing to risk damage to truck. looking for something moderate that has views and spots to stop and relax. would like a few spots we could push it a bit and learn about long wheelbase limits. Looking on...
installed takeoff Mopar lift, very happy with results. keeping 33" Rubicon takeoffs to preserve gear ration for towing, just wanted some additional clearance. Added Sunrider top last week, love the simplicity and not having to store freedom panels, so easy to open it up!
I was getting 24 hwy and 20 around town till I put 285/70/17 10 ply Falken (heavy) tires, now I get 20 at best on hwy and 17.5 in town. I'm whining about it and my wife told me to suck it up, its a jeep. LOL
Her lifted Liberty with 4:10 gears and 10 ply 31.5" tires gets @ 17 freeway.
Newbie here, got my 2020 sport s w 5200 miles a couple weeks ago. so far have installed Rubicon takeoff rims /33" tires, Rubicon rock rails, apex disconnects, dead pedal, door sill covers Next project is engine /trans skid, rear control arm body skids and shopping the tonneau market. any big...
