You can't beat the Mopar lift for the money. When I bought mine the only other option was RK which I couldn't afford. Mopar gets you a true spring lift with front LCA's and shocks. Paid $1200 for mine from a Jeep dealer selling them on ebay. If I could do it again now, I'd go Clayton but that's...
After about 8k miles, the front of my Max tow is 2.5ā higher than stock. I forgot to measure the rear before the lift but Iām guessing itās about 2ā since the rake isnāt as bad as stock was. Paid $1200 for it from a Jeep dealer on eBay.
They barely measured 18 new. I'm not saying they're amazing, but for the money and how well they do on the rocks and in the mud, getting 35k+ miles is good enough for me.
I suggest you look at the Yokohama Geolandar M/T G003. I personally run a 287/75-17 which is a 34x11 vs the 34.5" of a "35". 63 lbs in my size or 70 lbs for the 35x12.5. Mine were like $250 a tire from Simple Tire and after 8k miles I'm still at 15-16 32nd's
If you don't plan to do a lift or larger tires, max tow doesn't really matter. If you will go 35's or larger, the 4.10 gears are really the reason to opt for max tow.
Tires are certainly noisier being a mud tire, but not over the top. Lift rides better than stock IMO. I did recalibrate for the tires with a superchips flashcal. I average around 17 on a tank calculating with gallons and odometer, not going by the dash.
The 7ā gets you more than 2ā of screen. You get CarPlay/Android Auto, dual zone climate control, and then you get the full digital and customizable center display between the tach and speedo. It was only a $1k option on mine when I bought it July of ā19
They're full of it if they don't have it. If you search inventory on the Jeep website, that one should come up and it'll have the window sticker there.
When a vehicle is bought back, the vehicle's title is notated that it was a manufacturer buyback. Once that's done, it's probably more difficult to sell than a salvage title. They'd much rather keep trying to fix it to save the cost of trying to sell it again later.
Things like this happen and they're very unfortunate. Especially in times of economic crisis, a manufacturer isn't going to do the right thing for the customer. They're going to do what's best for them.
FWIW, I've had mine for almost a year and 11k miles without a single issue of any kind and...
I have a max tow so in my opinion it's a no brainer if you're going to tow. Better cooling, bigger battery, wider axles, lower gearing. As others have said, you can't easily change those things later like you can with the creature comforts from the Overland.
The only thing I'd recommend is...
That's with the 8 speed auto, right? MSRP is showing $43,375 including destination for me for what you listed plus the auto trans. With discounts it says $40,104
For reference, I got my max tow with the popular equipment options, auto trans, and spray in bed liner for ~$41,500 back in July of...
