Not coming from a Rubicon, no. I gained 1.5" coming from stock sport s tires. I didn't want to have to buy wheels, so this was the largest I could appropriately go on a 7.5" wide wheel.
I don't think the Overland with max tow is impossible. The wider axles and 4.10's would easily allow it to tow just about as much as the Sport S Max Tow. My suspicion is that in doing their market analysis, Jeep determined that the percentage of Overland buyers that would want max towing...
Ah, yes. Definitely makes sense to do it with the lift. That’s what I did. If I ever go taller I’m already set too since they’re adjustable. Really happy with the set up.
When off road you don’t want your sway bar connected. Rubicons leave the end links connected but disconnect the sway bar via an actuator on the actual sway bar itself. On a non rubicon model you can either unbolt your end links when you get to the trails or you can replace the end links with...
They allow full suspension travel without the limitation of the front sway bar. Only needed if you really plan to use it off road. They're well worth the $175 for the performance.

Took it to Uwharrie this past weekend in stock form and definitely rubbed the skid plates a few times but still loved it!
I just ordered the Mopar 2" for my Sport S max tow. I'm looking to add JKS Quicker Disconnects as well. Does anyone know if I should go with the 0-2" or the 2.5"-6"? I feel like this lift is right on the edge of the two.
Clrprop, would you mind measuring ground to center-top of your hard top for me? I also have a sport s max tow and am getting ready to order the Mopar lift and 34’s. I went to Uwharrie this weekend and found that break over angle will be the most important for this off road.
I've searched around and can't seem to find anyone with the same question, so here it goes.
I have a Sport S with the max tow package. I'm looking at doing the 2" Mopar lift with 285/75R17's on the stock 17x7.5's. Question is, has anyone done this or have any ideas if it will rub? I like the...
