I’ll probably only take the top off to say I did it. I got the hard top and when we want the open air, we take the panels off and/or doors. Soft top just didn’t make sense for us.
It does seem like a fair amount of people want to do a 5 tire rotation. I'm ultimately after that and replacing my spare tire (ran a nail through mine).
Have you seen this? Granted, it's for the JL, not JT, but sounds like it's up your alley. It's completely not applicable to us Gladiator guys, but I do wonder if something like this would be in the works...
We're getting there! I'd like to see if the roof matches the slots the factory hardtop has, too. Would be great if they included a drip rail or something to get kayak, bike, etc. racks up there. Not looking (nor expecting) to have the load capacity of a metal topper for items like roof top...
I reach out to everyone each time these are popped up, but...
Do you have any interest in letting just ONE go? I'd like a wheel (base Rubicon or upgraded Rubicon wheel?) and tire (are these A/T or M/T?) to use as a spare.
But you would still have the same issues the OP is having, right? I'm genuinely asking because I plan on running the high light fenders like AAL or Quake with Ace fender liners or something. But wouldn't you still have the exposed section? Or by doing the LED fenders, this better organizes...
For now I'm chalking it up as a success because someone affiliated with Jeep (meaning the techs as well as the advisors at this dealership) say that there is something wrong and they were able to find it. One of the reasons I chose this dealer instead of the two other ones that are closer to me...
Dealer just called me back after having it all morning. They said that it is definitely an issue and that they have no idea on how to fix this. Their recommendation was to bring it to one of their affiliate body shops.
@JeepCares What should my next steps be? I actually do like this dealer...
Dropped mine off at a dealer over an hour from my house this morning. I just got a call back that my steering box has way too much play in it and they are ordering me a new one. Should have the Jeep back probably Thursday?
Ditto. Plan on stubby with inlaid winch, probably chop the factory fenders with metal liners (I like Ace Engineering's simple design). Truck will be used as a truck for Home Depot runs with the periodic camping trip and long trip. No need to make it a rock crawler here in the Florida...
@Oscar Indy did you catch this post? Sorry if you did. Just thought it may have gotten buried. I've had a running list and overall picture of what I'm wanting my Sting Gray to look like and the features to have. It's a bit odd how similar we're at. Granted, mine is bone stock sitting in the...
I think this will be my kit since I don't see anything made up for the JT. My unknowns are exactly how to mount the antenna and if the coax will fit through the existing AM/FM antenna hole on the fender. It doesn't look like the terminating ends are removable on the coax.
Antenna (black 2')...
