Well, if I didn't like the Granite Chrystal with black on our HA I wouldn't have spent stupid amounts of money on it...
I do think that Snazzberry looks pretty good though. My wife's 2nd choice was Nacho.
I called the Badlands park and asked. They said we’d need one, hence why I mounted one to the hitch skid plate. They said they had them available at their shop. We’ll be there on the 20th (Friday). Look for ”Krystal” pictured above. My lovely wife and myself will be trading off driving.
We’re attending the Jeep Adventure Academy next month in Attica at the Badlands. Really looking forward to it. Anyone else going? Anything I need? What should I expect as far as difficulty?
My wife and I will be driving our High Altitude Diesel.
12.8k on the Gladiator, 24k on the Silverado. Both just keep on cruising. Did some “jeep things” yesterday. Installed the Bestop Sunrider and drilled the hole in the eBay hitch skid plate for the Handy Flag. The Handy Flag is pretty slick. I think she’s ready for the Jeep Adventure next month!
Got the hole drilled yesterday and flag setup installed. Worked pretty darn well!
I think it'll work great and I really like the Handy Flags setup. I'll probably wrap something around the "flag pole" in case it hits the back of the truck. Don't want to screw up the paint!
Finally got around to drilling the hole in mine for the off road safety flag. Picked one up from Handy Flag with the QD mount. Pretty slick. Had to drill a 9/16" hole for it to fit. Drilled a pilot hole then went at it with the big bit. Took a little while but made it through.
ETA - all my...
I picked up one of the $79 ebay receiver skid plates for the Jeep Adventure at the Badlands in Attica next month. I’m mounting my safety flag to that. Picked up a kit from Handy Flags with the quick disconnect. it’ll be in next week and I’ll drill a hole in the step of the skid plate for the...
I checked my HA diesel last night. Tow package and the big alternator, no switches. It has a 48 and spacer. When it eventually dies I’ll put a 94 in.
I ended up with some JLU Rubicon take off’s with factory KO2’s. I’m just using them as winter and off road tires. I’ll be putting the 20’s with Dueler H/T’s back on in the summer.
I couldn’t beat the deal and I like having an extra set of wheels and tires.
12k+ on the Glad now. The PCM flash seems to have fixed the CEL DEF heater false code. I also checked with my dealer yesterday about the Y81 recall. He said nothing popped up for my vin. Otherwise our Gladiator diesel just keeps on truckin! I still love it. I did pick up one of the eBay...
Jumped on the bandwagon and picked one up. Seller accepted a $68 offer. Figured it’d come in handy with the Jeep Adventure Academy in May. I think I’m going to drill a whole in the step to mount a flag as others have suggestet.
My dealer has been excellent about this. Just call them up to schedule, let them know it's a Jeep Wave service, and all is well. They even swapped to the lug nuts I provided last time and or course didn't charge me.
I'm going to pick mine up right now from the dealer for a CEL related to the def heaters. My service manager said there is a TSB about false codes on this issue. He said if this flash doesn't permanently fix it that Jeep is working on a code that will. Guess we'll see......
