i used the ARB mount kit which comes with a switch, so you wire straight to the battery. You can use it with the ignition on or off, but you should really only use it with it on.
I average 25k miles a year on a vehicle with 30 miles round trip to work and the rest recreational. Another 15k a year would kill me.
Out of curiosity, how much of that is work and how much is recreation?
same reply from my days of driving my Saab or my wife’s WRX…any modern car is going to be designed to run a fan at shutoff it engine cooling is needed.
I have a similar sounds in the first 200 of driving after the truck has been parked for a few hours. It goes away after 5 seconds. I keep saying I a, going to pull the wheels to investigate but always run out of time.
I have a creaking sound on my JKS lift. The shop replaced all the nuts with "all metal locking nuts". I am familiar with nylock nuts, but not some all metal locking nut. It stopped the creaking for a few days and then started again. Now they are talking about using red locktite to fix it...
Thanks for the suggestions.
The AC appears to drain freely, though I suppose there could be a partial clog. I will inspect more closely. I will check the cowl drain tomorrow, I did not even know there was one. Would the heater core leak in the middle of the summer? Where is it?
My situation is a little different since I cannot see out of my back window at all, but I added a Brandmotion FullVue camera and love it. If you determine you need more visibility, check them out.
I have seen people paint it but have not seen it replaced. What do you dislike about it so much? I have added some additional orange highlights to mine but truck but left the skid plate plain.
There are two power feeds for the camera. For one I used this harness https://www.quadratec.com/p/quadratec/12-volt-power-adapter-jeep-wrangler-jl and for the other I ran a wire straight to the battery for constant power.
