Is a SC really going to give you engine longevity? I kind of figured doing things like to an engine that it was not designed for would do the opposite.
And I would not mind having a more powerful engine in this thing, maybe after the warranty is us.
One year of JTM ownership and $68k in mods. Includes LOD bumpers and slider/steps, winch, ARB dual compressor (x2), ACCC with awning, Expedition Essentials stove, Fuel Beast wheels and 35s (x2), 3” lift, Fox Elite 2.5s, and a companion 2018 JLR to keep the JTM company. Jeeps get lonely too.
My bypass cable is still in place but the vgate is not. What is the downside to leaving it there? I need to order the extension, really two, one for each Jeep.
edit: I just saw posts 37, 37, 39, and 42. I will remove the cable this week and pick up the extensions.
I have Fox 2.5 Elite shocks being installed in the next week or two to try to stop the bounce. The shocks are great but still too cushy for my load.
Also trying to decide between 35" and 37" tires to replace the OEM 33s.
I have a 2021 Mojave with:
3" JKS lift
Falcon 2.1 steering stabilizer
stock tires
Upon starting in the morning when it is cold, the steering is very stiff for the first 5 or 10 feet of driving. Once I am out of my driveway, everything is normal. I have not noticed it at night when leaving...
Ok, I will see how it goes and then look into it more. Mine only gets driven a few days a week also but I can always drive it more if I want. I begrugingly drive my Altima to work a few days a week to save gas.
Please tell us more about the adaptives. I am getting ready to go from 33s to either 35s or 37s on my JTM with 3” lift. I want it to drive as well as it possibly can afterwards.
I have a Mojave with a 3” lift, 33” OEM tires and an AluCab canopy camper. I get bouncing on the back (I think it is just the back) and ordered the 2.5 Elites today to see if it will help. I hate to take the Mojave shocks off, but the weight is just too much for them. I also ordered 35”...
It is great when people talk about hitch racks, but a lot of these instances of people driving into the garage were probably 10-20 years ago, I know mine was 18 years ago before hitch racks were big.
Many years ago I drove into our garage with kayaks on the roof. Two years later, a bike. It happens.
One time I drove my Saab into a parking garage with two bikes on the roof. Checked the advertised height and all was good. Got to the exit and it ramped up abruptly reducing the clearance. I...

I had my Rancho skids powder coated Mojave orange. I considered it for the Asfir skid but had a trip a week after it arrived and did not have time. Wish I had seeing yours.
So sounds like 5.13s are the way to go. Thanks.
@Panthers65 Interesting that you say unless I drive a lot of highway to go with 5.13s. I figured highways is where I would want the 5.13 the most.
