I think they are helping some, I am going to have the fronts installed too.
I am excited to hear about how the Dobinson springs do. They will be on my list as long as they are not too stiff.
Yes, I built the rack myself. It took a couple of iterations to determine what we really wanted. The first one had across the bulkhead area and then we moved it to the side. The pot And pan storage took some experimenting to see what worked best.
So far I would say they help, but driving to work this week will be a better determination. There is less bounce but still a little, so I need to play with the knobs. I really need to put my bike rack on and the fridge in the back to get a true test of it.
I have not had fronts installed yet...
The issue is that most aftermarket wheels use different lug nuts. The OEMs will not fit in Fuel Beast we have and I am sure a lot of others, so I cannot use them.
I sold the wheels from the JL and the buyer did not want the lug nuts since he already had a set. The JT wheels will get sold soon...
Apparently I did not have one firmly inserted enough. It took three tries to make it happen. I am a small guy, have small hands, and am pretty flexible, yet it is darn near impossible to do this. The extension is a great idea once in place. Thanks.
Now on to my second issue that may not be...
I installed the extension harness, bypass cable and Jscan in my JT this weekend and updated the tire size. Speed is right on.
When I disconnect the bypass cable my radio does not work. If I plug the bypass in, the radio works. Any thoughts?
For my use, no. You get some sag with just the camper and it can probably suffice with air bags, but going Offroad you rub more and on road you get into the stops more. I usually have bikes on the back when on road (and sometimes off) so it sagged even more. The Mojave is great to drive and the...
I found the LOD bumpers, Warn winch and compressor added too much weight for the stock suspension. Then I added an AluCab canopy camper. Then I lifted it just for the heavier coils. Then I replaced the shocks.
You should be generally be ok with the Mojave and LOD, but if you add a winch you...
I would appreciate that. I put amber Baja S1s on my wife’s white JL and there is a lot of glare. I was planning on installing the amber Sport combo on my JT but am concerned about the glare.
It looks good. I have been looking for liners and fenders for my wife’s JL, I might have to try those liners. They might make the fender replacements a bit more palatable.
