Absolutely.
I enjoy doing it. And now it’s a simple apply wax ever couple months.
I only plan to do this once a year or every two years this intensely.
Same coat I did. Haven’t done the back. Summer was hectic and never had free time and a day to take the top out.
it’s definitely quieter with just the front. If I can get the back done it would be crazy I’d bet.
if you do switch to hybrid, or a ceramic wax you need to make sure you wash, and strip all wax off your vehicle. That's why i suggested dawn and an alcohol wipe.
I did my truck and ofc it rained today...looking online and on the bottle, you can apply a second coat after 24 hours. I guess...
it cost me 20$ and around 5 hours of my day. bonus i got some exercise. Ive had the buffer appx 5 years. the other tools used as long or longer. they have paid for themselves many times over. Last vehicle i traded in the dealer gave me an extra 1000$ because the paint was so perfect and the...
You will need the following:
M105 cut compound
cutting pad (orange for cutting black for polishing)
the polish
the buffer i used
the wax i used
mist and wipe, needed for cutting phase (any brand will do as long as it is not ceramic. I've used this same stuff for over 20 years. its quality...
I've never had a soft top jeep. I will say its relatively quiet inside my truck. I also added more sound deadening material to mine. Look up my posts you will see it.
I see soft top and wonder how loud it is. Around here near buffalo, we like the heat in the winter lol. no soft tops for me...
I have been using carnauba waxes for 25 years. Today I made the shift to ceramic waxes. HOLY CRAP THIS WAS EASY! Buffing on cars removing swirls etc. In fact I still have(though not often used) my 7" right angle that i bought at sears in 1998! Though today and for the last 5-6 years i use the...
I have the rugged ridge ones. they are awesome https://www.extremeterrain.com/rugged-ridge-jeep-gladiator-all-terrain-door-entry-guards-1121632.html
When installing them, if you use a hair dryer or heat gun to warm up the rubber and the tape(after wiping the sill off with alcohol) it will be a...
Im looking for something to cover the carpet BEHIND the rear seat. So when i fold it down the carpet part stays relatively free of dog hair or damage from whatever cargo i put on there.
any of you heard of such a thing?
well i found something...
it happes just as i pull away. There's kind of a "diesel" sound. it will happen every time i go from a stop. It stops completely once the engine has warmed up.
do you have the red and blue up and down arrows? either side of the center knob?
i had no idea gladiators had different climate controls.
either way fan 3 or above should do the trick.
the fan setting is the key. temps below like 75 or 74 will cause it. but on any temp fan above 3 will keep it off. set it and forget it. adjust temps as you go and leave fan on whatever setting above 3
ive said it before so here it is again.
instead of a mod, or pushing the button everytime...
just leave the climate controls above 75 in winter, or fan setting above 3
start stop will automagically disable because cabin heating or cooling.
