No, I do not know for sure exactly of what metal compound the knuckles are made.
All I know of for reference is my JK - it has rusty (;) ) steering knuckles, and I have broken a number of u-joints.

Ok, here's what we determined today -
After mocking up the camera and the known coax wire harness, following the coax to just below the left front (driver side) light and found there is no corresponding coax connector.
An earlier post describes a 2-wire connector in that area, and the only one...
While the camera coax does fit the camera, it is not long enough to reach the VCP located behind the back seat as noted in thread: https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/factory-trail-camera-install.29321/
I'm still hoping we do not need that part of the camera coax which might be...

My JKUR steering box and knuckles are steel to begin with, and not aluminium...
My JLUR steering box and knuckles are aluminium...
My JTR steering box and knuckles were delivered in aluminium, now the steering box is steel...
and I am eyeballing the RPM...
So... the latest 10 August 2020 TSB replaces the aluminium steering box with one made of steel.
A casual look underneath also reveals the steering knuckles are also made from aluminium.
Anyone want to join a "Forum Pool" as to what the next steering failure may be?
