the stock uconnect3 is terrible. It is really one of the biggest things I hated.
I upgraded to the Insane Audio JL3001 and I love it. I had a few back and forth issues with support but they got all the issues squared away.
no offence but the brackets alone are $30, I don't even know what the wood costs (i had it laying around) but maybe another $20 and its more than an hour of work (mine took 10-20 min a day for 5 days putting on 8 coats of lacquer). which isnt worth $30 to me to make them.
I doubt anyone would...
So I started, making something better that the junk I had in my bed - thanks for making me do this :-) My girlfriend can do stencils with her cricket, but I may try just putting on a vinyl sticker on it and lacquering over top, or coating in a clear 2 part epoxy to keep it looking good, and...
One thing to check out is jumper cables are cheaper on amazon than copper wire. i did have to try two or three to get ones that were real copper. But a 25' jumper cable was cheaper that 25' of cable ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I have been looking at this as an upgrade for a while... infotainment dot com has all the parts available to get the climate controls and volume knob as well as the 8.4" radio too...

I finally got around to putting in a 1500 watt pure sine wave inverter so I have an outlet in the bed of my truck, and a second outlet in the back seat. I put the inverter under the rear driver seat, and ran what seemed like miles of cables to make it all work. While I was under the truck...
better late than never I was just coming here for the same reason... The armorlite install vid does a pretty good job showing how to remove and reinstall the inside door trim along the floor. I need to route some wires under it wanted to remove it to properly secure everything.
Never mind I was able to find that you have to enable the audio menu as a favorite if it doesn't show up, after that everything was good and worked as expected!
So I am having the same issue. I just got my 35" tires and the Taser mini. What was the trick to finding the audio menu, or what is the spot you need to get to in order to press the Left nav button and cancel on the steering wheel? I have the Sport so no extra fancy dashboard for me :)...
