Nothing too crazy, still waiting on more parts and also dealing with a broken finger lol
Slightly better pinion/driveshaft angle and I washed some of the salt off haha
Damn sad to see Teraflex is still having crappy customer service. I ran one of their kits on my one of my old JK’s and after a year the springs sagged so bad I had to run 1” spacers to keep it off it’s bump stops. When I contacted them, they said their lifts weren’t intended for steel bumpers...
Yes! That is the best way to go in a 5 link set up. You improve your roll center while keeping the rear axle completely centered at ride height and with it being a stronger bar you won’t have the harmonics you get with the stock track bars
The geo brackets are great for improving daily driving...
The Rock Krawler bracket will work a lot better with the truss than the Teraflex
I’ve got a Teraflex one in the mail as a temporary till I triangulate the rear.
also the rear bracket is to improve roll center, this is why majority of kits you see for wranglers come with a rear track bar...
Should always try to avoid trying to tow/pull something stuck in reverse. While your reverse gear has a better ratio, the issue comes from putting force on the coast side of the gears in your differentials . The ramp of the coast gear can cause the gears to try push apart and can break teeth
as previously mentioned, lighter feel but it’s also quieter.
Our 08 ram 3500 plow truck grenaded it’s flywheel one morning. Thankfully it was in the driveway. Now runs a center force for the last few years, works extremely well but holy it’s hard on my bad knee (torn ACL)
Might just be the way you are looking at it, but the 10” is shorter than the 7.5
The 10” on the left compared to the table behind us lower than the top while the 7.5” is almost in the middle of the tops edge
Out of the 3 of us running these all dropping to about the same psi wheeling, 8-10psi...
Quick before and after. Day before I got it from the dealer, swapped my JL wheels on and now
Didn’t want to wait for RK rear springs and the mopar lift springs are dirt cheap so added them with the 3/4” day start spacer to regain my rake. Even with the weight of the warn 8274 the 3.5” rock...
As previously mentioned, you can run a 12.5 wide on a 7.5” wheel. The tire will just crown more and have more wear on the center tread blocks
I’ve got a good reference picture, same tire but on different width wheels. 10”, 9” and the stock 7.5”
Hmmm I didn’t think about the con of the plastic back seats! I’ve only ever bought sports, but man the kids would drive me when they figured out they could use the rear pocket as leverage to get into their seats when they were young
In regards to the car scene, only the “LS swap the world” guys will be left butt hurt about the shift to EV. I love the sounds of a cammed out v8, but what really impressed me is the guys that do the abnormal like swap in a EV into an old Willy’s
A true car enthusiast will appreciate the mod no...
And with billions needed to upgrade the infrastructure at current steel prices, it might cost even more if Cliffs pushes your Biden administration to tariff grain oriented steel that is used in transformers. Majority of that type of steel is imported from us in Canada and Mexico. Cliffs being...
As an operator on one of our coke batteries, we have to be knowledgeable in environmental control. The steel industry is changing, gone will be the fully integrated mills like oursand replaced with mini mills using electric arc furnaces to melt scrap instead of a blast furnace melting raw...
