Every where is switching to being “green”
Not only is the government pressuring us, but the big 3 (Ford, Chevy and dodge) are on us about how we are cutting our carbon foot print in making steel for them
Ford even said they would stop buying steel from us if we didn’t have a plan to go green...
Off, but I have a sport with a limited slip. While the nanny system does an ok job, most situations I like the limited to grab and let both wheels dig to get moving
if it was a Mojave or Rubi, then on always as it’s pure open diff when not locked
The infrastructure is horribly outdated, and in need of desperate repair. It will take years before they catch up with repairs let alone upgrades. Plus the costs now involved with the soaring prices of our steel. Only a few mills make grain oriented steel that is used for transformers, majority...
I’ve tried searching through my photos, I’ve personally seen a spacer fail. My good buddy ran them for a short while on his TJ, we just got out of a trail we were on all day and travelling down the highway when the wheel came off
Thankfully we never stopped to reconnect so he never lost control...
Hooked up the trailer and hauled one of our blowers down to my shop for service
Trailer is just over 3000lbs and blower is about 600. Love being able to work and play with the JT
I run a VIAIR 450H compressor mounted behind the rear seat passenger side, with a home build 4 tire hose
For deflating, I use JT brooks auto deflators. They are pricey but amazing
Don’t have picture of the JT but have one of my old JK’s with the 4 tire hooked up and the pump mounted under the hood
Once Jeep rid of the zippers for the JL, I haven’t ordered one with a hard top since. Love the soft top, I flip it back all the time while at a light with ease and run safari mode during the summer to keep the sun off the kids
I live in northern Ontario Canada, and we see -30F temps, zero...
I’m not a huge fan of these, I’ve seen them cause so much death wobble over time on Jeeps that are wheeled
You have to over out the hole on the control arm bracket on the axle, then these plates go on like a cam washer
I will always recommend getting proper length or adjustable control arms...
I’ve lifted quite a few Jeeps, and before that I was into lifting trucks
The poor ride quality you experienced in the lifted truck world was most likely due to cheaply lifting an IFS like a leveling kit. These push the a arms down and put the ball joints at such an angle that shock load is sent...
Been running just a 3/4” spacer in the rear with my front RK springs, with everything so backlogged I ordered up some mopar 2” springs for the rear. 2 days to come in at the dealer and super cheap
Run these till I can get the rear RK coils
The soft top has been great! Even on the JL I had no issues and I found them to be warmer than a hard top compared to my other JK and JKU I had
I work 12’s at the steel plant here, never had issue with the plastic windows during the winter and thaw really quick after sitting out in the parking...
This. It’s not so much a legality issue but actually being able to see properly
Your high beams are meant to see further down the road, not close like your low beams and fogs. Having your fogs on will make your pupil constrict, reducing the amount of light in and preventing you to see further...
I did have to order them with the wheels, but they were only 8-10$ Canadian each. I don’t remember the exact price all together off hand, I just remember the caps came to about $40 bucks. I run beads in all my wheels as well, not a fan of the stick on or clip on weights up here. Constantly lost...
I run procomp series 97 steelies on mine, ran them on my JL as well
I’m dayshift today but can weigh the difference between them and one of my old JK’s alloy wheels that has the same 35 on it I’m running for comparison
I personally like the steel wheels, not a huge problem if I gouge them on...
