Soft top for me
Had dual tops, hard too only and now the last two have been soft tops only since they got rid of the zippers
I personally love the new style soft tops being able to run in a safari style mode, open air and keeping the sun off you like a shade top
I live in northern Ontario...
I’m running my 3.5” RK lift with their RRD shocks from my JL up front with a 3/4 daystar spacer in the back.
I definitely could but the 35’s look small enough as is, do the fender chop I’ll be wanting 37’s sooner hahaha. Was surprised to see the tire trying to eat the fender that much, quite...
There’s quite a few videos on installs, but I’ll add some tips on the kits I’ve installed. Think my JT makes number 20 or 21 lol
when getting ready to drop the front axle and have stands under the frame, unbolt the front track barfrom The axle. The mopar kit doesn’t replace this but will allow...
Lift is in finally. Running my 3.5” RK coils, arms and track bar from my JL up front with Daystar 3/4” spacer in the rear. Sits about 1/4” high in the front but figure the weight of the 8274 should put it exactly level
This is true when having the full load on the jack. This case I was using it to keep the rear suspension from unloading and pivoting on the stands causing the nose to drop. Full weight of the Jeep is still on the stands themselves
Stands are a little short to get the unsprung length of the RK...
Finally got around to installing my lift, used most of my RK stuff from my JL
So much better, just need to get some new hardware to mount the 8274 up front
Good to hear you found it. Haven’t looked at the JT yet but thought it was a weird idea to have it suppose to poke out by the cowl on the JL
Have to say tho, I’ve never once plugged a gas vehicle in yet
If the boarder was open I’d be over in a heart beat to wheel with ya and if you have any questions about the island feel free to ask
have a few videos from the island. This one was right before I traded in for my JL
Love the steelies! Got tired of chewing up expensive wheels so made the switch back to steelies when I bought my JL
Part of the deal was to transfer my wheels to the JT. I’m running the series 97 and with the wide axles it doesn’t rub at all with no lift
Live in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and before all this pandemic I’d wheel Drummond many times a year
That above article is a bit wrong on what part is actually the BOH trail. The BOH is trail 27-26, to shale beach to marble head. The tank traps are getting rough, Drummond actually sent out a...
The supply may not be enough for the light bar, I remember trying to do this on one of my JK’s and would get a flicker out of the light bar
My JL I just ended up using the fogs power lead to trigger a relay and run a proper gauge wire from the battery to the light bar
Most of the advantages were less parts, wasn’t a need for a rear sway bar with mono leafs, lighter because of the less parts and when they started using them up front as well they could run a lower hood line (didn’t have to have the wheel arches like the C3 to run a coil)
Coil overs are great to...
Even the newer ones, except the new C8 run a mono leaf rear suspension! They are now a single composite leaf rather than a steel pack
Definitely weird realizing that the differential hangs by its cover lol
76 stingray. Built this one for my dad, was a fun build as I knew nothing of corvettes before hand
Previous owner did a number on it, hacked a lot of stuff up. Now she is running a 383 stroker dynod at 492hp, manual shift body on a TH350, 4.11 rear and ride tech coil overs
