Yes! you *MUST* put the rear window in on a warm, sunny day the first time! When I put the soft top on the first time it had gotten dark by the time I attempted to put that window in; I had to wait overnight until the sun was out to warm the window enough to get it to snap in all the way...
I attempted it because my wife's back was bothering her a few days ago, and I didn't want to make it worse by having her help me remove the top...No good deed goes unpunished, apparently...
We had the first EXCELLENT weather day today. The steps had started squeaking when using them to get in...So, I decided to take it apart and see how hard it is to put the bolts through the other way...I left the other 3 bolts that go in vertically a little loose, that gave me enough wiggle room...
My old truck was a 2004 Silverado with 6' bed. The tandem would fit diagonally with the gate shut, then I'd use ratchet tie-down straps to keep the bike still. It was always a PITA (pain in the @$$) to load the bike. This setup, if it gives me enough space, looks much easier.
My son & I are...
Here are some annoyances with the Uconnect 4 with 7" Display sound system in my JT Sport-S.
I have a 256GB USB thumb drive that is NTFS formatted with my entire music collection on it. It contains ~80G, ~3,400 songs, ~275 albums. As far as I can tell, I am able to access *ANY* of the songs...
Verified that our Gladiators are "water heater rated". Definitely "truck enough" for us to change out our dying water heater...
Also, fear not, the heater survived the trip on its back! So nice to have a warm shower that lasts longer than 3 minutes.
I have a Sport-S JT with the grey dash panels...I am wanting to order another set so that I can have them painted hydro blue, to match the exterior of my truck. Are these parts available? If so, what is are the part #'s / cost? Thank you.
Yes, only hydro blue, of course! I was going to order Mopar / Jeep OEM parts, paint them (either with spray can touch-up paint & clear coats; or hire a local body shop to paint them) and replace my current dash panels...
You're going to have to work a LOT harder than that to offend me! As I said, I'm an optometrist, and NOT a mechanic, and am capable of receiving constructive criticism.
There are bolts that go in from the underside, upward toward the roof that are the main support -- I put those bolts on...
They are just nuts -- no clips. As I said before, it was a pain getting them started since there isn't much space down in there to hold the nut & turn it, etc...
Here's the rear:
Here's the front:
Not sure if I assembled it correctly -- not enough space to put the bolts/nuts the other way...
Wow! I ordered my Gladiator on 09/11. Almost immediately after putting the order in, I realized I forgot to put the slush mats & this soft top storage bag on my order. Not wanting to give the factory *ANY* excuse to *DELAY* my order, I had the dealer parts department order me the mats & bag...
When I bought my 1997 Wrangler TJ, it had a soft top (with the half-soft doors). When that first winter came, I had serious buyer's remorse that I didn't get the hard top. I went back to the dealer. Seems like, at the time, a Jeep "from the factory" hard top was $2,500, but they had this...
