Yes it could. The shipping process can vary widely. I ordered 09/11. My build sheet showed up 09/26. My window sticker didn't show until 10/09. From what I can tell, my truck arrived on the train @ Voltz train yard in Kansas City on 10/24. It was loaded on the truck YESTERDAY for the trip...

On mine, it was several days, if not a couple of weeks between the build sheet and the window sticker link working.

You're right--I'm spoiled in that I've got at least 3' to spare in all directions in my garage, so 1' doesn't make much difference to me...

I currently have a full-size 2004 Silverado extended cab with "suicide" doors. When I look at the dimensions of both trucks such as wheel base, bumper-to-bumper length, width, etc. When the Gladiator is different, it is only by 1"-2" or so. The main difference is the length of the bed.

The satin black grille was NOT available on Sport when I ordered on 09/11.
