Papa... I respect you. I think your heart is in the right place but you are just wrong.
These shifters replicate a sequential shifter. It sits in a neutral position, waiting input from the driver to shift either up or down. It doesn't ratchet from one position to another like the transmissions...
This sentiment, while pointing to what human beings may be used to, doesn't make sense.
Every single sequential manual transmission is this way. This is the correct way. Just because some manufacturer got it wrong and you got used to it doesn't mean it should stay that way.
When you upshift...
This is exactly what I was thinking... there is zero chance the rock came out of the back of a truck that was traveling the same speed in the same direction as them. There would have to be a MASSIVE difference in speed between that rock and the Jeep in order for it to go through the windshield...
I'm with you guys on this and I hate to say it but I think the forum platform is just a dying beast. People would rather be on facebook. I haven't had a facebook in 10 years and life is just better that way. The only reason I ever find out about meetups is because one of my good friends is the...
I got the Artec Steering, Synergy Track Bar/Sector Shaft Brace and the Fox ATS Steering Stabilizer installed before a road trip.
I can not express how incredible this stuff is. The steering is so dialed now and I can't imagine the level of damage it would take to destroy it.
Bonus...
I don't understand the hate for the guys over there. When I had my JK I spent a ton of time on that forum. Those dudes wheel hard and are a major help to others on the trail.
I suspect, from @Bonanza 's location, that they've probably gotten their feelings hurt by what someone said on the...
Yessir. If I'm going wheeling and want that extra weight off (plus, if I flop, no reason to risk ruining a tent if I'm not using it) then I remove only the tent. If I need to use the bed, the tent/bed cover all comes off in one unit.
They did great. I am definitely going to get the extra skin for them though. I dropped the entire weight of the truck on one and can see a very slight bow in the opening where the steps reside.
Yeah, for sure. Once I get my suspension tuned, I think the amount of articulation at a low(ish) ride height is going to be incredible.
My plan is to never go any higher with the suspension but get it just perfectly dialed with enough room upward for the 39s. I'd rather get an extra inch of...
Yeah, I'd imagine the shocks in the Clayton kit are better set up than the Fox shocks on the Mopar lift. They ride great but they definitely didn't try to squeeze the maximum amount of articulation out of them and they certainly weren't considering chopped fenders when they were putting...
I doubt it.
I've got the mopar 2 inch on 37" KM3s and there is at least 3" of clearance at full stuff and I've got quite a bit more backspacing than OP does. I'd imagine that with a fender chop and the Mopar lift, we are leaving a solid 5-6" of travel on the table.
The truck is sitting on...
Added some pillar mounted KC Flex Era 4s with red bezels.
I've got to say, these things are WAY brighter than the 50" lightbar + pillar lights I had on my JKU. Which makes me super happy, I did not want to end up with lights all over the front of this thing. These things are more than enough...
Absolutely love my Diamondback. It was definitely a bit stressful to start drilling into it but it sure is worth it when you're done.
Took the rack/tent off to go wheeling this past weekend. Super convenient and still looks great with the base rails attached to the cover.
Very happy...
There may be a lot of people that jump on here and offer suggestions.
I will say this. A lightweight MT is not going to be very durable. If you are concerned with ending up stranded somewhere offroad but weight is an absolute deal breaker, 37s might not be the right idea.
