This has me thinking, a smartphone privacy screen cover would be perfect. It'd let light straight through to the plate, but not at an angle to the camera. they're cheap and plentiful, but they're all tempered glass... the ones for computer monitors are plastic, but cost $50. Time to find a...

It's likely one of those "theoretical" issues that "may have" lead to warranty claims.... It's the bone stock UConnect, so not much in the way of stored settings. I'll double check the BT settings this afternoon, but I believe the clock was the only thing that re-set. It was playing FM radio, and came back up on the same channel.
