Iām not sure how difficult it will actually be to get to. Iām sure it will be a search and find issue but I can easily access the two clips pictures below to release those. Then if the other end is not secured I could maneuver it enough to insert a pin.
1. @Jimmy07 do any of you happen to know...
Does somebody who has replaced the dash speakers have a pic of what is beneath the passenger side one? That would at least give me a starting point.
In the below picture I have clear access to the retaining clips holding the harness along the fire wall. I just canāt tell if there are more up...
Here is a good start if youāre truly interested in why.
https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/my-oem-front-trail-cam-install-thread.52216/
while installing the front trail cam you need to provide the module (CVPM) power. There are many ways to skin this cat, Iād like to use existing...
Thereās a wire Iād like to pin. It comes from the F55 fuse for the CVPM. When cars do not have a CVPM from the factory that harness is where the wire stops. Iām installing the CVPM and Iād like to put a wire in pin #2 for provide powerā¦semi factory-like.
Iāve located the XY401A harness above the BCM in the passenger side. It appears to be located all the way up just below the right dash speaker. Does anybody know a good way to cleanly access this harness? Here are a few pictures to understand where it is in the cabin.
Yes, here is a pic of what I believe to be the XY401A harness. This is looking up the passenger side fire wall. Perhaps it can be accessed after removing the right dash speaker??? Probably wishful thinking I know.
My goal is to use existing F55 fuse/wiring to provide power to the CVPM. I am currently waiting on parts for the rest of the project so I have the time to find alternate ways to power the CVPM.
My preference:
1. release pin #2 from XY401A
2. Route CVPM power to that released pin #2 from XY401A...
I found XY401A....it's WAY up there like you said. Do you know if F55 is routed through the BCM at all? None of this makes sense though. Why would there be a huge connector like that to nothing? I mean, it's a fully populated unhooked harness with countless wires. My JTRD is completely loaded...
@Lost1wing First of all, thank you for the help!
Okay, so there is no harness back where the CVPM should be so I assume F55 terminates at the firewall specifically the BCM (Body Control Module) and there should be an empty position on XY401A . So if I am reading this correctly, in layman's...
I am doing an upgrade on my JTRD to install the front trail cam. With it, I will be installing the CVPM. According to the fuse box diagram the CVPM fuse is F55 (10A fuse). Currently my CVPM is not installed but the fuse is there from the factory.
1. Does anyone know what runs off that populated...
First of all thanks for the help. Iām at a stopping point due to awaiting the diesel hose coming from the washer reservoir and I got to thinkingā¦do you have access to how they wired the front camera in the wrangler such as the diagram above or the one Jimmy07 posted in his initial thread showing...
Okay all, I may be putting too much brain power into this but where do you run the washer hose, specifically to the hose pictured below (68370828AA). More specifically where the hell do the attachments connect to the car? The only thing I can figure is they connect to the radiator support...
I love the comfortable seats in my JTRDā¦the seats are perfect for me. We have a ā15 GL350 which is the ultimate cruiser (quiet diesel with a huge fuel tank and air suspension) but the JT is almost as comfortable except for the expected noise and lack of ventilated seats. I find it much more...
Haha, we are just picking it up where you and Jimmy07 left off. Would never attempt this without you two documenting your success! That picture above of the wrangler center console is clutch and gives me hope that we can finalize this process for all those after us and cut the time in half.
Thatās why I also ordered the RAM 2500 mountā¦it doesnāt get any more professional and OEM than using MOPAR brackets for the CVPM on other Chrysler products. Iāll also upload some pics of those parts once I get them delivered as other ways to mount the unit.
Edit: so a bunch of parts ordered are...
@DailyDrivenTJ when I get back from my trip in about a week my first order will be to remove the center console and look for a place to mount the CVPM under there in the āfactory JLā location. Looks like the CVPM gets installed in the JL with the connections facing the passenger side which...
@ecidiego saw you ask the question on the wrangler forum about the CVPM somewhere beneath the center consoleā¦find a diagram anywhere? Iāve been searching with no luck.
Yeah that would be even better to find out where in the wrangler but using my logic and reason (which often doesnāt apply to Chrysler) ours was on the back wall thereās must be in the trunk area of the wrangler.
@ecidiego, Iām utterly amazed how quickly you located those parts! That had used up...
