This is a Nitto 37x12.50r17 on a 8.5” +4 wheel. It’s almost about a tread block out from the fender with the Nittos. This may vary with different tires.
Just about anything on the plus side down to 0 will keep you with minimal poke. At 0 you are looking to be about a tread block out from the fender. I run the JK AEV borahs 17x8.5 which are +4 on my Rubicon and they poke the 37’s out about 1 tread block past the fenders.
but the offset/BS...
Apexchassis has a nice 2.5 ton aluminum set. I have it and it’s very beefy but have yet to install it as I’m waiting on a bunch of other things too.
Well JET, thanks for posting the pics. Ride is subjective, but It’s hard to imagine I would ever call the Mojave ride trash on a stock set up. Seeing that your Mojave is stock it’s hard to believe you would be happy with any trim level if you are not happy with the Mojave ride, but I guess it...
JET_83 post up pics of your Mojave so we can see your set up. We may be able to help point you in the right direction of your terrible riding Mojave.
load range with larger wheels plays a big part In ride quality
yes spacers would push the wheel further away from the shock.
If you are interested in the willy’s wheel take a look at Quadratec’s hard rock or the morphic wheels. They come in a lower offset and will give you the look you are going for without the use of spacers.
This sounds like an echo but smart liner fits great, keeps stuff from sliding around and is soft on the knees if I have to crawl in the bed for anything.
Love the build so far, looks like you had a great time out in Moab.
I watched the videos you posted, why does the suspension sound like a wooden carriage going over the terrain, are the bushings shot or does it just need to be greased?
I found that it was not the shock shafts that needed greasing but actually the exhaust hanger bushings. crawl under there and push and rock that exhaust around and you will probably find your source.
Reminds me of Kelly green or Signal green on a cloudy day.
I’d be surprised if this isn’t a wrap. I good wrap professional can get that door jam wrapped up without issue.
maybe you can find some helpful info here. There are some shock tuning and valving guides that maybe helpful to read through
