looking back to the post from @Mad Mat , I think he was referring to using 1 tree to the bed rack; that's an interesting idea. Ironically, I was looking today for a portable hammock stand that would also support a rain fly, but didn't find one.
I misread your post, as not having a chance to sleep in your hammock yet.
yeah, not enough room inside the JT, although I've seen some funny pics of ppl trying to rest on some make shift hammock thing on the tops.
I'll post some rando pics from the net ( I don't have any pics of my setup handy ). This is all light enough for backpack hiking/camping. If you're good/knowledgable with climbing gear ( ropes/knots ), you can make the setup even lighter [ I wouldn't trust my body weight to 750 paracord, but...
The way those photos are taken, itās hard to tell. Youāre looking at the sides. The bolt hole/bolts mount horizontally. Those looks like the standard ones that I pulled off my ā21 JTM.

itās not a trophy truck, and youāll have a lot of fun just going up to 10-15mph more than you normally would. Mild jumps are a lot of fun.
to really...
Wow; they didnāt do you any favors. It does look like thereās a washer of sorts, that might help you out for the cuts. If I were you, if planning to proceed, I would buy a new set of bolts to go back in. With new bolts in hand, you might be able to remove the old ones with an extractor set...
Um, I did both batteries, on both my JTs, and didnāt think it was labor intensive at all. I guess itās all relative.
it was by no means hours, more like 1 hour. Even if I had used manual ratchets, I donāt think I would have been beyond 90 minutes. In a pinch, I would just head to the local...
