    the "chip shortage" will probably be used by any salesperson to hold gross whether it is real for them or not. most people will have heard something about that and be ok with the higher price. confirmation bias is a powerful thing...

    What they say doesn't matter. Just be prepared for a possible warranty fight if you modify the driveline. If it doesn't happen cool, if it does you were prepared :)

    Yes I did get the aux switches. I just saw a video where a guy added a USB box in the glove box using the aux switches . Not hard to route to the console. That should make it more livable! Thanks!

    on all of the mopar sites the 8.4 part number is 68417861AH. it says it will not work for a 2021 unit. when searching for a 2021, this is the part number that loads 68472596af. was there a change in part #s for 2020 to 2021? have the catalogs not updated? don't want to make a $1200 mistake...

    from what i've read in other threads the part number you got was probably for another country. the 68417861A[x] is the US part number.

    same... my jeep is on a train and i am irked that i didn't do the full premium audio upgrade... i only did the alpine. oh well!

    Ordered the Alpine audio without the premium audio group. Not smart. I cheap-ed out $800 on a $43k purchase. Dumb move. Oh well... Thanks for listening ? I thought I saw a how to on adding USB power to the console but can't find it. A link would be appreciated if you know where it is!
