I’ve experienced similar reactions and that people love to talk about it. Most people who come up to me really like the truck or are curious to what it is, others that don’t like the truck, seem to want it to be something it isn’t.
A guy yesterday told me he didn’t like the Gladiator that much...
Hi Guys, I’m from Virginia, but we like to get out to NC. We last minute rented a cabin in Boone, NC area. Any fun trails around there that would be good for a stock Gladiator?
I’ve had some pretty desirable sports / luxury cars in the past, but more people come over and want to talk about the Gladiator than anything else. Or maybe fewer people like the Gladiator but those that do, love it. I’ve had guys at Home Depot ask to take pictures of the truck or just check it...
The wife and I are considering heading out to telluride area / Moab, maybe the week of June 8. Looks like things are opening up around May 29th. I have a mostly stock overland so just thinking the easier / scenic trails and watching others do the crazy obstacles. Anyone decided whether they are...
I’ve been looking into these as well. There is a site called Bam Wholesale that was about $50 under MSRP after shopping. So about $70 cheaper than my dealer was going to cost with tax. I kind of want them as my last truck had a similar setup, but hasn’t been a huge priority. The extra cross bars...
Went out and drove around all Saturday doors off and roof open, there were a ton of Jeeps and a lot that didn’t wave, a lot that did wave.
But there were two badass Jeeps that went to extra efforts to wave. One was a new JL Rubicon who made lane changes, got closer to wave, was at the very...
I’ve seen some people break down how to wave and that the lesser modded Jeep should wave first and that there are official waves. Which all may have been true, may be true or may never have been true.
I wave at all the wrangler models and all the gladiators, my favorite wave is hand out the...
If I go that route I’d definitely use something like that or maybe try to figure out a conduit type solution to make swapping easier. Or maybe just drill a hole in the side of the vault to let the cable escape depending on feasibility of that. I probably won’t store anything crazy valuable, just...
Yeah I have seen people drill holes and come out where the key fob fits between the cup holders. But, with as crappy as a lot of these cables are or as often as they change it seems like it could be more of a headache.
my wife likes to use that one to charge her phone while I use the dash one...
Probably a minor issue, but wanted to see if you are able to use the USB cables with the console vault or does that basically take away that power source? How are you all liking the console vault, it seems like it’s better than the tuffy solution, maybe the best option for the Jeep.
So still haven’t totally figured this out, but I’ve kind of taken bits from all the good conversation. I bought the Mopar tube doors, because the just look so freaking cool. I’m hoping Mopar releases their skins for them at some point. I also ordered a Bak revolver X4 so I can store doors or...
Thanks to the info in this thread I went with the CMM mirrors. I was able to get a 10% discount. I got the 1” ball but probably should have deleted it as I can’t imagine using it, but figured just in case.
I mounted them lower, I didn’t like the higher angle and wanted something closer to...
You go with the swing case for security or is it more just the convenience / takes up minimal space? I really want some bed organizers, but I’m always using the whole bed, so hate losing any space for when I need it.
Opened up the roof, took the back window off, installed my brand new Carolina metal masters mirrors on the bottom of the handle, so flipped them. I love the height and they worked flawlessly in wind at 75+ mph. I also installed 3 of the 4 Mopar tube doors. Set included two of the rear left door...
I took the back window, all the doors, popped it into open top and installed some Carolina metal masters mirrors, you know for legal reasons. Also, I may be old fashioned but I like em’ for changing lanes ;) And I installed my new mopar tube doors or should I say I installed 3 of 4. Turns out...
I found this article very helpful when I was wondering what was possible by each gladiator model.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.4wheelparts.com/the-dirt/what-tires-fit-on-the-jeep-gladiator-jt/amp/
Since you have the Overland, it’s going to have 18” wheels stock, so that changes the options a bit as you may need new wheels & tires if you want 17” wheels as your base.
Below is a good thread with some options that others with overlands went with. I personally wanted to improve the look and...
