  1. Shorter bed now available

I for one really like it. It looks like you have the ecodiesel, what modifications did you have to make for that?
  2. Diesel Engine issue tracking thread... also please post if NO issues!

10k miles in 6 months, not a single issue. I've never noticed a single regen. Couldn't be happier with the power, torque, and mpg.
  3. Help me troubleshoot gmrs alternator whine.

I guess I should have clarified a little bit, I tried to disconnect the antenna but what I neglected to mention is that I only hear the whine when the unit is receiving and the speaker is active. I don't hear any whine when it is on standby. So, with the antenna unplugged there wasn't a whine...
  4. Help me troubleshoot gmrs alternator whine.

I haven't done that yet. I'll give it a try. I did switch the power direct to battery to try cigarette power and it didn't change anything.
  5. Imogene Pass

Imogene is do able stock. It is more that there are narrow shelf roads than difficult obstacles. Also, lots of idiots in rented jeeps that don't know anything about offroad etiquette. But the trail is doable stock, Ophir pass even more so.
  6. Help me troubleshoot gmrs alternator whine.

Hey all, I recently installed a Midland MXT275. It's working fine, but I've got a really annoying whine that varies with engine rpm. I am currently running positive direct to battery, ground to the engine ground strap next to the battery. I tried to plug directly into the cigarette lighter to...
  7. Mopar lift on willys with 37s rubbing

Did you have to do anything else to be able to add the 1" spacer? Extended lines, different control arms compared to the mopar 2" lift alone, etc?
  8. Mopar lift on willys with 37s rubbing

Both are the stock plastic. I'm planning on a stubby up front (probably the Arcus) and I'm waiting for a high clearance bumper that I like to become available for the rear. Hoping with time more bumpers come out for the rear, as of now the only high clearance are stupid expensive.
  9. Mopar lift on willys with 37s rubbing

Here are a couple pics. The rear seems to have more clearance issues than the front, seems like the rear tires rub mostly at the front of the inner fender. The fronts dont' rub a ton; after several trips to Moab it hasn't been enough that I can see where it is rubbing on the fender to try and...
  10. Mopar lift on willys with 37s rubbing

I'm on 37s with the MOPAR 2" lift and I have running. Only at full lock, but it's definitely there. Just trying to decide if adding a 1" spacer lift to help with the running would mess up angles enough to need to change out other hardware.
  11. A huge pet peeve: graffiti for Instagram

I don't know how often it's actually prosecuted, but defacing historical sites carries up to a $20,000 and one year fine for first time offenders in the USA. So we have the penalties available, I just think they're not used very often.
  12. A huge pet peeve: graffiti for Instagram

I think this hardly would count as doxing. Firstly, we are assuming the names are his kids, we don't actually know that. Secondly, he is the one that wrote them. If I had gone to his Instagram account and screenshot pictures of the kids and posted them here, or found the names through some...
  13. A huge pet peeve: graffiti for Instagram

That would be a possibility. His Instagram page does show that he was on that trail, so it seems like a less likely possibility. Most likely explanation is somebody wanted more followers on Instagram and made a stupid decision, much like tacomabeast did a few years ago.
  14. A huge pet peeve: graffiti for Instagram

You're right, but the word "stalking" carries some connotations that I don't think apply here. The guy in question is the one that wrote his kids' names in a public place, as part of an attempt to get more random strangers to follow him on Instagram so he could monetize his page. That changes...
  15. A huge pet peeve: graffiti for Instagram

What's sad to me is that he's doing really cool things with his family. He took this trip from South Dakota with his wife and two young kids. Quality time like that is priceless, and I wish more people would do it. It's just frustrating that he made such a stupid mistake trying to get followers...
  16. A huge pet peeve: graffiti for Instagram

What's dumb is this site is in the middle of nowhere, and you have to walk passed this partitioned off fence to get to it. This is the sign you have to walk by before you get to the cave where they decided to write their IG handle.
  17. A huge pet peeve: graffiti for Instagram

I hope that you're right and it was just a stupid mistake. This thing really gets me going though, mostly because I also took my two young kids on basically the exact same trip, I did this dome plateau Trail, and in the following day hell's Revenge. Without even knowing it, we were following...
  18. A huge pet peeve: graffiti for Instagram

I spoke with the BLM and gave them the pictures and coordinates. They were very receptive and sounded like they would actually do something about it. My thought with following his page is that people pull this kind of stunt to try and get followers on instagram. If his page becomes filled with...
  19. A huge pet peeve: graffiti for Instagram

And luckily it didn't cover any pictographs. There was unfortunately quite a bit of other names etched in, he was just the only one stupid enough to include an IG handle and his kids full names.
  20. A huge pet peeve: graffiti for Instagram

I'm trying to hunt down a number for turning in tips on defacing historical sites on BLM property. In the meantime, everyone with Instagram should follow his page and let him know what we think. It would be great if his IG has to be shut down because of a ton of angry messages any time he...
