Definitely was a wet summer at the end. I was done with my treatments, and was feeling much better. I decided to take a week vacation in september to take out the rpod, but as you noted, it was raining. I decided to just stay home; it wasn't worth de-winterizing.
It has been an active wheeling...
Nice JT. I went with the Clayton 3.5" Overland + on mine. My poor Jeep is definitely getting beat up over the 3 years of owning it. I'm definitely looking forward to summer this year. For some reason, this winter has been kinda brutal. Plus last summer was a bust for me; I couldn't do much due...
We had one here at the glacier a couple weekends ago. It broke down though after sitting a couple hours on the ice, engine wouldn't start and wouldn't work on battery. Not sure if it was the cold, it was in the 20's that day. Bummer for the guy and not a good look for 4xe. Guy wasn't part of our...
Funny you mention that too. We all did give him some friendly sh*t, good for a laugh. There were also a couple new bronco's at the trailhead, but they decided to go off in their own little group. we heard them on the radio getting lost and stuff. we had to switch channels ;)
I did have some...
I posted this in another thread but here is a popular winter trail in the Anchorage area of Alaska. Usually we wait until the ice is about 2 ft thick on the Knik Glacier lake before it's relatively safe. About 3 or 4 years ago an unfortunate Jeep broke through the ice, so there are some dangers...

Part of a search and rescue effort this past Sunday for a snow machiner who ended up driving his sled through the Knik River as we were making our way back from the glacier. Driver ended up soaked and on an island in the middle of the river. Luckily, it was a happy ending. Things could have...
TrailFX Tube fenders front only. I was having my Clayton overland+ suspension bolts checked for tightness after the break-in period. I saw these hanging on the wall. Almost didn't get them when it dawned on us that we needed new liners, but we broke out the dremel and did some modding.
Had the...
all depends on how much you wanna spend. price out 2.5" leveling lift, 35" tires and possibly new wheels...stock wheels might not be wide enough. wheels and tires will probably be the biggest part of that budget.
hehehe... other than tires and wheels on previous vehicles i've owned. my list of mods continue to grow and never seems to get shorter with each one completed.
before (Overland) and after... i just added a 3.5" Clayton lift a couple weeks ago...so just imagine the after pic with a bigger gap in...
After visiting the local offroad shop, the day was too nice had to go for a quick trip. Buffalo Mine area in Matsu Alaska. Got a bit muddy. With all the rain the 2nd half of summer, a lot of deep and long water crossings.
Seems to be holding up well so far... 2 yrs and counting. I do see it flap a little bit when i take the jeep through those touchless jet carwash. I'll have to take a pic of where i put the bumpers though. I just kinda stuck them on the hood underneath the deflector.
