  1. Future of Jeep under Stellantis

FCA imho is incredibly mismanaged. doubt it will be much different under stellaris. Peugeots are awful cars. Nearly as bad as the fiats. Alfa Romeo is shoddily built and incredibly unreliable. masarati is the poor mans ferrari that is a quarter of the price and dog ugly. Fun fact my wife test...
  2. Speaker swap

I have the alpine 550 dollar speakers and it’s been one of the best upgrades I’ve made thus far. they sound 10x better than stock and cutting the plastic was super easy with a 15 dollar cheapo Amazon air saw. if I’m spending 60k for a car I’m not going to cheap out on accessories.
  3. Installed my sPOD

Looks great. Very clean install. Also a really cool product.
  4. For all you Jeeple...

whoa easy there Ted Cruz. Dont rope us progressives in with that guy!
  5. Damaged Front Bumper Upon Arrival...Again...

this is common with heavier items. Especially if they include free shipping. Packaging is actually quite expensive. Plus the bulkier it is the more it cost to ship. So they just use the bare minimum. i will admit I learned this the hard way but going with lower cost steel bumpers which came ok...
  6. Pulsar installed. Dont buy it.

Excellent write up. Was worries about the horror stories I read from past pulsars! Nice to see they’ve worked out the bugs
  7. New Owner - Aftermarket Stereo Upgrade

Congrats on your new willys and you’ve got a good plan going. If you bypass the factory radio and jump to the stinger as your first mod things will be easier. you’ll have more traditional outlets and you won’t need the 300 converter to retain the stock head unit. As for an amp that really...
  8. SOLVED: Broke my Gladiator by drilling into wires

You should have some of these on hand as they’d be perfect for this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073RMRCC3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 they don’t require a soldering gun and just need a heat gun to use. They are heatshrink and solder all in one. if You don’t have a...
  9. Too much amp, Not enough power...

imhad a similar issue in my old excursion. I had bought an amp kit that had 17’ wires with ring terminals at the end. It turned out the crimp on the ring terminal wasn’t making a solid connection from the wire. I ended up just soldering it on to give it more metal on metal. This fixed the...
  10. Dash mods for head unit mounting

If you’re looking for a truck that has good harmonics you need to look elsewhere. The gladiator has little to none sound absorbing and stock speaker pods leave a lot to be desired. I have upgraded mine as far as I’m willing to go and it does sound size ably better than the stock alpine premium...
  11. Well This Happened Tonight

car Accidents are painful (literally and figuratively) but cars can be fixed Where as humans are not as easy. thankfully youre ok. Safe driving friend,
  12. Safety Packages?

the gladiator or for the matter the wrangler are not what I would consider super safe vehicles. They are purpose focused with abilities to do other task however not as well as its main focus. If you’re looking for something safe for your kids this probably isn’t the best option. My wife’s Lexus...
  13. Audio Upgrade Insane Audio JL3001 versus Stinger HEIGH10?

every Jeep trim comes with the same roll speaker, knee speaker and dash speakers. The alpine premium includes an amp and a subwoofer behind the back seat. Stock speakers can be upgraded pretty inexpensively. However you may want to invest in an amp to drive them. they do make drop in speaker for...

  15. School me on upgrading system

they are much much louder. I originally had the bar turned up a lot in the equalizer. I had to adjust it quite a bit to get it where it needed to be. They are definitely 2x or more louder than the originals. Honestly the amound of engineering jeep put into the roll bar speaker pods youd think...
  16. School me on upgrading system

Finally got around to installing those alpine 450 dollar speakers. However first off I gave those dart kicker speakers a shot and rode around with them for a couple of days. Honestly there was little difference between the stock and the dart kickers. so today I finally got my air saw in the mail...
  17. School me on upgrading system

So its tricky, however the dash speakers are 3.5" and the knee panel speakers are 6.5". Now the roll bar speakers are the tricky ones. They are technically 2 speakers. One 3.5" and one 4" with some weird porting. The general accepted replacement for them is to remove both of the speakers and cut...
  18. Gladiator Owners - READ Link Below - This could affect YOU - If so....

I for one like having modern safety systems. Yes they are more complex and potential cause of issues. But the pros outweigh the cons to me. If you want ultra reliable you shouldn’t be looking at a Jeep or any fca vehicle for that matter. Either way just my .02
  19. School me on upgrading system

This am I went back out and took off a couple of the speakers in the sound bar to see their quality. To be perfectly honest they feel like garbage. They are super dinky. Light, cheap paper material and feel like something you get in a cheap PC speaker. I went ahead and splurged on those 450 buck...
  20. School me on upgrading system

I am well aware of cone material, however in this instance I dont believe FCA was going to splurge on the higher end option. And I only removed the foam to look at it. It was quickly replaced.
