Mine stays in the open position with the cover that came on it installed back on it. I hang it from 2 hooks on my garage wall so that it's flat against the wall and out of the way. The door surrounds and rear window bar all sit on top of the top. The window goes into the window storage bag on a...
I really wish there was an easy way to put a Selec Trac case in mine. It wasn't an option when I bought mine, or else I would have gotten it. I put one in my XJ and it was awesome. It just isn't a smart financial decision to sell and rebuy my truck right now, especially with all the price increases.
Out of curiosity, if they don't come with the tow package stuff, then why is the tow rating the same with or without the package on the Rubicon, Mojave, and diesel? I was under the impression that they all already have that stuff, otherwise they would be rated to tow less. That's the reasoning...
Sorry, somehow I missed this. I haven't gotten mine fixed, it still drives me nuts. It's sad that my 3 year old truck has been squeaking for over a year now, but my 14 year old Grand Cherokee is quiet as a mouse.
The rear window glass has a frame around it it attaches to, and then that whole assembly is attached to the top. The problem on most of them is the frame part cracks and that’s what leaks. The 5th Gen Ram uses the same design and has the same issues as well.
No problem, here's a link to make it a bit easier for you.

I wish you were closer, I'd be all over this. If you do decide to potentially do shipping, I would be interested. Hopefully VA is close enough to RI that the shipping wouldn't be all that hateful.
If it was only a month, that’s not too bad. When mine was replaced 2 years ago, from the time I found the leak and called them, until it was done was 13 weeks. That also included 2 times to diagnose (even though I told them where), several weeks of waiting on the window, and aborted first...
That's not where they were on my 2020. They were under the dash on the passenger side, close to the firewall. They are taped up pretty good, I had to look around down there to find them.
That's a really great job on that, but I wouldn't say it's easier than using the Aux power wire under the dash for what I was doing. My GMRS radio had a bare wire, plus I found the bundle pretty easy, and had wire connected in 5 minutes tops. I wouldn't mind relocating my 12V port to the dash...
If you got the Aux switches at the factory then you don’t have to waste a switch on the charger. Under the dash will Be a wiring bundle that’s a duplicate of the 4 underhood Aux switch wires, as well as a hot and ignition 12V wire. You can use those for accessories, I have mine powering my GMRS...
Did you see any improvements or changes in the newer version? Curious as I’ve been happy with mine (same one you have) and now my wife is interested in one for her Durango.
If the dealer is already trying to play games, I would honestly walk and go somewhere else. It’s just going to be a hassle throughout the whole process.
