Added a 3d printed ASA spacer to the bed outlet to facilitate running 6AWG wires from inside the bed to an Anderson port underneath the bumper for my camper without cutting new holes in the bed. I’m charging my camper’s LiFePo bank off the same DCC50S that charges the Jeep’s house battery making...
A spacer I designed for the bed outlet so that I could run 2 6AWG wires out of an existing hole to an Anderson plug mounted under the bumper for my camper. Printed in ASA, it has 2 holes for 1/2 NPT cable glands. I’ll post a link to the file. To route the cable, you will need to enlarge the hole...
I have no problem with the principle of it. Some vehicles work better than others. BMW’s old system (no idea if they improved it) was jerky. I found that it was pretty innocuous on my eco-diesel when it worked. I had two issues with it, so I disabled it. It always seemed to be unavailable except...
I have a NOCO Genius 10 plugged in with a MagCode connector. With the diesel in winter I have to keep the truck plugged in or the DEF heater kills the battery. Personally I wouldn’t worry about battery life from stop and go driving. It’s letting the truck sit for days at a time that is a bigger...
Finally installed the new battery I had sitting around for 3 months. The truck instantly drove the same. At least I don’t have to leave it plugged in all the time like an EV.
I almost never leave the dynamic bar screen. Reading all the stuff about it disappearing, it’s funny. I check other screens and then quickly OCD my way back to this screen like a prairie dog running into his burrow. Like Pookie from New Jack City, my green crack bar “it be callin me, man.” As if...
A couple of years ago, I started carrying a dewalt chainsaw. I carry an electric impact gun which already beats pneumatic in every way. They can share a large battery and I carry a charger. I’m really impressed with how much you can do with the dewalt DCCS620 and how long it will run. Trying to...
In the 757 too (flashes Newport News gang signs). I’m rather impressed that my external MagCode charging port and NOCO tender (a requirement for keeping diesel’s battery alive) worked under a foot of snow. As for the snow driving performance, the Gladiator is no worse or better than any other...
So I agree with all of this. I did take advantage of the 3 free oil changes and the dealership screwed 2 of them up. Gross incompetence, green labor, using service writer spifs to try and push existing customers into new vehicles at every service, the list goes on and on. The industry as a whole...
I think it’s a good idea to unmarry and remove the Tazer occasionally regardless. I’ve noticed my Truck gets flakier over time and removing and reinstalling the Tazer seems to help. For example, over time a number of Tazer functions stop working properly, like the license plate light blanking...
Front Runner’s drip rails clamps suck. Mine keep coming loose. They are just squared off sharp metal sitting in the rail and the bottom clamp bottoms out before tightening enough. So I printed some compressible TPU covers to hopefully help hold things tighter.
I wasn’t sure about thickness...
Worst trend of all:
Giving a shit what other people do with their money, property, body, life, etc., and then going on the internet to talk about it anonymously….
but by commenting myself… I’m doing it too……contributing to the madness aaaahhhhhhhhh…..doom loop detected...
I had constant problems running a Dual puck with an IPad Pro, and frankly I see constant and worsening flakiness across the entire Apple line as of late. I’m not confident enough in that whole setup to trust it if I’m really far out there and truly need GPS. I’d rather use an imbedded system...
They applied the same flash to my vehicle after my second free oil change left me stranded. In my case the warning wouldn’t self correct upon restart. They claimed there was a TSB on this with an ECU update. I haven’t found that TSB but you can’t go by categories or even engine when looking up...
In fairness, you can buy a Porsche 718 for about the same price as a loaded Gladiator. That fact or that I could have been buying one of the new C8s popped into my head just as I was signing the paperwork on my special order JTRD. This resulted in a long awkward pause in front of the salesman...
I have a SpiderWebShade and beyond having to stretch the mesh out of the way to reach the front SunRider clamps, it doesn’t interfere. The front, side or rear bungees don’t cause any issue. I just leave the shade on 365, whether I’m running the SunRider or the Freedom panels.
