  1. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

Appreciate you walking me through your thought process. The sunflare panels are the only one I had considered in this form factor, but the price premium has kept me on the sidelines, so far. Currently I deploy a 180W folding array (I like to park in the shade) and augment with alternator...

Are these type meaningfully improved from other flexible panels? The promise of a lightweight, flexible panel that can be direct bonded are obvious, but I'm suspicious of having premature failures and excessive derating due to the direct mount on a dark, metallic surface.
  3. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

Thanks so much, I appreciate the confirmation!
  4. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

I would really appreciate that info. I did find a post elsewhere confirming the crossbars are 1020 series t-slot, but the link to roll-in nuts on McMaster appears to be old and the part is no longer sold. They do have 4 packs of other nuts but not stainless. If they can be sourced from 80/20...
  5. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

A question for those running the Trailrax modular roof rack... what are you doing for accessory fasteners along the extrusion? I'm about 1/2 through assembly and it occurs to me that getting t-nuts or hex bolts into the extrusion is only possible by taking one of the sides off. Are there any...

The bags are from Last US Bag. I have both the caddy and half caddy: https://lusboutdoors.com/shop/lusb302-caddy-26x15x2-5/ https://lusboutdoors.com/shop/half-caddy-13x15x2-5/ They are mounted via 813 fabrications molle panels. Available in versions compatible with the water tank and without...
  7. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

Nothing I can provide a link for, it came out of the plumbing aisle at Ace Hardware. Main things I chose were no lead and a small but not too small lever. Here is a close up, in case it helps:
  8. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

Thanks, appreciate it. Works great for us. The carpet is a product called bedrug, there are versions that cover just the floor of the bed as well as the bed sides. It doesn't officially advertise an r-value, but from experience it is way more comfortable on your feet than other options I've...
  9. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

Here are a few install photos. I use an aquor house hydrant at the rear for a clean external appearance. Pump is mounted on a piece of starboard (basically colorized plastic cutting board material) and an inline shutoff at the tank. Pipes are currently disconnected as it's getting quite cold...
  10. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

I use a single 3.0 GPM Seaflo mounted against the driver bed-side and it is powerful enough that I can hose mud off the side of the rig and I don't need an accumulator tank (no weird pulsing from the pump). This pump is amazingly quiet also. I don't find it to be too large but you can go...
  11. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

Thanks a bunch for the detailed photos... very helpful!
  12. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

@813 Fabrication & Design would you mind linking to the fan you purchased? I see a few options and I'm concerned about what it will take to properly attach a mounting ball to the fan. Thanks!
  13. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

Congratulations on a really nice rig!
  14. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

Thanks for your feedback. I'm also in the PNW but on the dry side in Central O, so I won't overthink precip. getting down the chimney. Appreciate the close up of your propane tank and plumbing. It looks pretty clean and I suppose I'll do something similar... thanks for the link! Is that wire...
  15. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

I’m preparing to self install a Dickinson p9000 using the GP-factor ALCC mount. Got most things prepped and cut down so now it’s just drilling holes in the camper and bolting/riveting things up. Got a few questions: - Anyone ever see or get concerned about water ingress into / down the chimney...
  16. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

I’ll second the Hellwig rear sway… makes a huge difference. Additional tweaks include the AEV steering stabilizer, Steer Smarts adjustable track-bar in the front and a Steer Smarts track-bar bracket and sector shaft brace. I’m still running the low end mono tube shocks from the AEV lift, can’t...
  17. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

Looking for some advice on how people are maintaining their water tanks. The placement of the water tank outlet(s) mean that there is an inch or so of water left in the tank that can't be easily drained. Wondering how hard I should try to get this remaining water out. The tank is going to sit...
  18. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

I’m also running the Dualsport RT lift with the high cap. springs on my 22 diesel JTR. Quite happy with it, but I am seeing a small amount of spring bow on front driver side. Might need to add an adjustable track bar… fan of the steer smarts bits also. No rust on springs either! ;)
  19. Making Center Console USB Switched

Just another data point for this thread. 2022 Rubicon and my center console USB also was protected by fuse F11. Mod works great as long as I targeted F11 not F102.
  20. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

A couple people have reached out, requesting more info about this mod. Here is a brief write up. The Alucab components of this install are: Table: https://www.alu-cab.com/product/alu-table/ Bracket: https://www.alu-cab.com/product/table-bracket/ Additional hardware: [EDIT] I received the new...
