Part deux
Control head
for this part remove dash. You have to first remove heater ac control by pulling it off.
then two screws at bottom of stereo, remove that bezel
then there is one screw that secures The dash other than those metal clips.
start at one end and work my way to the other...
I know there are enough info on radio installs but here’s mine.
Radio is a Powerwerx DB750X. I got it for $75 like 2 years ago. It was installed in my previous Ram 2500 and 3500 before I traded that in for the JT
Typical of new vehicles we can’t throw a radio under the dash like years...
A LOL all is cool now lesson.
My 1st newJeep not my 1st Jeep by far. My 2nd one with AC and my 1st with a hard top AND AC. In all other models I’ve had, there are many sounds.
Well this one I can hear EVERTHING. Recently I had a paper get sucked into the air intake for air ricirculation...
That looks like one of the J scan type adapters. GPS tracker just uses one for power.
As far as FCA financing I imagine they can ping your location via Uconnect. The dealer tracker might have been requirement for them to get loans to buy the cars. I looked it up and these trackers are like $20...
It was Scottsdale dealership. I would understand if it was Luke downtown or even Larry Miller in Avondale. But Chapman in Snobsdale??? ?
maybe because i got a Sport level. ?. Gladiator for the poors even though I got 2.49 % Apr
nvm. Chapman isn’t the rich people dealership. So yeah, hood...
brand new. Maybe a sign of the times.
i saw that red wire with fuse hanging from directly under the steering wheel space. I knew it wasn’t stock and had a idea it was a asset management dealer tracker. I didn’t recall being notified about these things. I got separate financing so screw those...
But the harmonica would clue in as a joke. Next time I’ll do the harmónica by itself.
I’ll leave a sloppy antena hanging from it
Speaking of the harmonica prank my JT started to hear like air hiss from the dash area or under. Went up and down with speed and rpm. I was like “now what?”...
Nah. That doesn’t work.
Im retired from a three letter fed agency. I’ve slapped these on my share of bad guys cars. With some electrical tape, rare earth magnets, epoxy glue, a label maker I would have a neat little pretend DEA or FBI tracker
Now the target. One of my best friends or my 17...
As a Ram 2500 and 3500 owner (previously). I used to do commercial RV transport and hotshot. My son still does it.
Don’t pay attention to the “must buy mopar” chicken littles.
Get your filters from Doc Diesel. Everyone in the business buys form then. Even eBay ones are ok but I prefer Doc’s...
Found this stupid thing under the dash because of sloppy install and the wire hung down. Red is tapped into OBDII line and other is grounded. The body zip tied to the moulding support.
Me being me with a dark sense of humor, let’s have some fun with it.
Stay tuned .
These were given to me around 6 years ago. I plan to put them on my Cummins powered YJ since they are square. However the yj is not ready.
Yeah, kinda not pretty. But I’m for go before show. So I don’t care. Wired into aux switches.
I googled and searched for q series on a Jeep and didn’t come...
That material won’t affect your antenna. But like poster above stated, that’s for a CB antenna which is a fiberglass pole with a wire antenna wrapped around it. Typical VHF/UHF will be like 1/8” or less thick. Shrink wrap tubing will work. And as far as the 2” just to be sure it’s just the 2”...
The Road Chose Me Aussie guy, Dan. He’s in AUS with a Gladiator right now but lives in Whitehorse, Yukon. He goes into details of the JT use and actual video. And I met the hourless life family. Now in Costa Rica. Also Gladiator overland use and travel.
I had a pair of Rigid Q series pro sitting in a box in my garage for like 6 years. Even forgot about it. And now i finally got to use my AUX switches. I’m rebuilding a YJ. It will go there but I’ll swap in some nice quality round ones later. I used the old winch plate space cover that was on...
Two days ago I would have agreed wholeheartedly with you. Then this happened just yesterday with only 3600 miles. Happened driving 75 mph into strong headwinds over a mountain pass. The fender liners are so thin it’s about as thick as a milk jug plastic. And not secured enough. The wind...
