Through the dawn of Jeep time, the reality has been that a long arm suspension system comes with some impressive improvements to ride, handling, and suspension travel. That nugget of truth remains valid even today, and with the advent of...
Good question. It's safe to say we have no plans for a 2.0 JL or Jl/JT Eco Diesel kit due to those engine designs having a different PCV valve mounting location. The main issue with the 3.6 PCV location is being on the back of the valve cover at large inclines and angles the oil can flow to and...
As some insight, we've been doing some updating and tweaking to this kit to improve the functionality and design, and the updated version will be released here in the next few weeks.
Great question! Truthfully you could do it either way, but I would grease them after install just to make it easier. If you'd like, shoot me over your contact info in a message and I'll get some stickers and other swag headed your way. ;)
Our ball joints are preadjusted and ready to install right out of the box, so no worries there. It's a good idea to pump them full of grease until a bit of grease pushes out around the lip seals.
I am unsure exactly what you mean by "us", but our 3452010 ball joints fit all current JL/JT applications, both D30/D44 equivalent axles either with aluminum knuckles or steel knuckles. We've just seen a few failures on the aluminum knuckles unrelated to our ball joints, hence the...
If you currently have the aluminum knuckles, upgrading to the Eco Diesel/Mojave steel knuckles while you have everything apart is a good idea; we've seen a few broken or damaged aluminum knuckles turn up during our product testing.
Interesting, it would appear there may be a bug on our website as the order quantity gets lower. I appreciate the info, I'm having our main website tech looking it right now.
It looks like your order went through, and is currently in processing btw.
Looking at our current on hand inventory in our Utah warehouse, it says at the time of typing this we've got 15+ ball joint kits sitting on the shelf ready to ship out.
It appears that there is already a bunch of good info in this thread, but I'll chime in. I would agree, it appears that the jam nut(s) came loose enough to let the joint rock enough to pop the boot off the bottom retainer. Thankfully, it's an easy fix. It looks like we've already got a...
This is a correct statement, obtaining the aluminum bar stock in the grade and quantity that we need to machine the parts (body caps, knobs, sticker caps, rod ends, etc) has been extremely difficult.
The 1, I apologize about the wait time you've been seeing. Like I was mentioning above...
We're having a heck of a time obtaining the raw material, like the aluminum bar stock that we use to machine the parts out of combined with other material supply issues. We've got a team working with new suppliers and new potential sources to activity speed up our supply chain and...
There's been a few threads posted that have mentioned our new released ball joints for the JT/JL, but there's not a dedicated thread for them. So let's get one started!
As many JT owners and forum users know and have found out, there is a lot of room for improvement over the factory ball joints...
As a note on our front track bar you have, if the track bar you have was purchased before Oct '21, it will have a metal heim joint style bushing which will let the track bar rock slightly on the joints (front to back) which can in some instances create a "clunk/pop" sound. Track bars produced...
Quite a bit! The Rubicon and higher levels that come factory with the "big brakes" with the dual piston front calipers have a rotor diameter of 12.9 inches, where as our Delta rotors are 14 inches in diameter. Having the larger diameter rotor gives more leverage for more stopping power, and...
We don't currently offer a brake kit for the JL/JT's outside of our Delta kits; you may be thinking of our big brake kit we offer for the JK's.
That being said, the Mopar big brake kit uses dual piston front calipers and a larger single piston rear caliper. However, that is what comes from the...
No problem at all! Happy to help out and respond to questions, it's good to be able to communicate directly with our customer's and Jeeper's in general.
Nice, that was a very popular kit back in the day!
