  1. Manuals might be dead

I waited months to get my Jeep in the color I wanted and have not regretted it. If the manual had not been available when I finally got to order it would have sucked but I would have waited for that too. As good as the automatic is, I just wouldn't buy an automatic Jeep. When I almost...
  2. Manuals might be dead

You have to adjust the way you shift. Keep it in the power band around 3,500 RPMs and it responds much better. This means being in 3rd and 4th gear a lot. Pretty much all the time around town and even on the highway under 70. That's not a lot of fun if you are used to rowing through a lot of...
  3. Jeep Gladiator Mojave Edition! [Updated With Live Pics and Chassis/Suspension Breakdown]

Surprised for a desert runner they didn't use the vented fender flares they used on some of their concept vehicles.

  8. Serious question from a first time Jeep Owner

I’m Not offended by it but do people really think ricer is not derogatory? Calling someone a rice-eater because they are asian is a slur. This term derived from that. Where I’m from in the South in the 70s if someone added a bunch of cheap flashy mods to a car people called that n****erd up...
  9. Tesla Cybertruck anyone?

It's the size of a full-size truck, so I feel like it is a little big for an overlanding-type vehicle. I kind of wish they had done this as a mid-size and done something more traditional for the full-size market.
  10. Tesla Cybertruck anyone?

who makes the rules? The government. That is one reason why cars are all starting to look the same. By the time you meet all regulations you are designing within a box. this is basically a concept car. It’s design will never make it to production.

  15. Old 105 Highway in Western NC

Did Old House Gap Road in the Linville area last weekend. More challenging than a lot of the dirt/gravel roads in the area but definitely doable in a Gladiator. My friend had a stock Tacoma and had no problems.
  16. Why go slow off-roading?

This is so funny. The thing I tell people before I take them off-road is "It's not like the commercials. We are going to go slow." The rule for Jeeps off-road is "As slow as possible. As fast as necessary." That may not be your thing. I've driven 35-40 on twisty dirt trails and that felt...
  17. North Carolina

I went out last weekend. I think that will be it for the season for me. Have a great time. Let's definitely hook up in the spring.
