I reset my tire size with the Taser and it is dead on using radar speed check and GPS data. You have to tweak the tire size if you want it dead nuts correct. But frankly, is there anyone left in America who still drives the speed limit?
A guy did that when I was attending a school in the Army. We found out who the perp was. Did you know that some people are like cats? Yeah, when he "fell" off the second story fire escape he landed on his feet..........then his back..........then his butt. Guess he made it out of the hospital...
I have 40K on my JTR with 37's and a AEV lift. The only thing I would recommend unless you rock crawl is to reinforce the steering sector box. The 37's put a lot of stress on it especially while sitting and turning the steering wheel. This would be doubly true if crawling with it. I go...
It is one of those "overthinking things" I suspect. I think many of us, me included, look for things to be different or wrong. It's the Gladiator syndrome. There are so many stories about problems with the JT that we are all paying too much attention to the nuances of driving them, just waiting...
And dangerous. Take your Gladiator to a reputable dealer or a shop specializing in off road suspension and have it looked at carefully. Could be a bunch of things wrong. Get an experienced survey of the steering and suspension or you will likely regret it later. DW is not always caused by one...
My sister bought a Jeep Renegade. It has a Fiat engine in it. What could go wrong! Nothing but problems all the time. Jeep techs have no clue how to find the problems. For one problem, it took an old school mechanic at one dealership to figure out why the display kept telling her the car was...
First, I don't need it. Second, anything mounted on it is going to be so filthy dirty after five miles on the trail it will need a good cleaning before use. Third, I don't like adding weight to the very back of the JT. Fourth, it's ugly in my opinion. Other than that, ...............
Yep, great Jeeps. My JK had a LS3 crate engine with 6L80 trans and 4:88 gears. Best Jeep I ever had. It pulled a trailer like it was not there, even in the Rockies. Son is still driving it and loves that thing. I have a new LT1 sitting in a crate waiting for the 3.6 to fail. Then it's going in...
In very deep snow we put a set on the front vs the back on 4x4 vehicles. Works better for me in very deep snow. Got caught in a blizard once in NE Oregon while elk hunting up high. Snowed so hard it turned into white out conditions. We formed a convoy with other vehicles and got down off the...
No, don't get rid of your chains. I always carry them on trips across country in winter and while out west in winter. There is no substitute for chains when the snow gets deep. If you live and play where there is no threat of deep snow, then fine, get rid of them. I use them every time I travel...
I have no argument with your choices, but would like to know why you favor the stick over the automatic transmission? Not second guessing you here, just curious. I was always a stick guy but now believe that the automatic is superior to the stick in Jeeps for a variety of reasons, the most...
I feel your pain. But by the looks of your build sheet there isn't much left of the JT that is stock. I think most expect that they can do anything they want to the JT and the warranty will cover anything going wrong, to some extent. Nope, not anymore. Jeep uses any opportunity they can find to...
