When you purchase China stuff you cause the price of US made products to increase indirectly. You also hurt US businesses competing with them. If price is the only thing that matters to you, then fine. Hope the product never lets you down. But when I am overlanding 50 or more miles off the...
When I bought my 2023 JTR new, I told the dealer I wanted the extended warranty. I didn't check and found out they sold me an after-market warranty, not the MOPAR warranty I expected. The dealer also screwed me on the state tax they withheld and then tried to claim I was wrong after providing a...
Yes, sometimes it fails to load the ap quickly enough or just doesn't load it. This is what is commonly known as buying a $60K Plus vehicle with a Tandy Computer operating system. You have to pay at least $80K if you want an UpToDate system.
Sounds like you are a hot rod guy too. I'm getting too old to build another one but your sound like fun. Had a 33 Ford Five window coupe with 427 Chev in it. Also 55, 57, 66 Chevs with big engines. Great fun. That was back when doing so was not that expensive like today. I have settled on Jeeps...
Nope but will go thru there in April 2025. I never raced the JK when I owned it. I have a JT now. My son has the JK now and still going strong with the LS3. Best engine ever put in a Jeep and I am including the Hemi's with that statement. LS3 is lighter and puts out more HP per pound than the...
I have a JTR and the suspension was horrible when new. I installed 37" with AEV wheels and AEV 2.5" lift with geo correction kit and it drives perfect now. I recommend it. I have had a number of pickups previously and they all were bouncy to some extent when empty. Funny thing about my JT now...
Not sure what you are referring to with the JK. I put 50K on my 2008 JK, converted it to an LS3 with 6L80 trans and my son is still driving it at 160K with zero problems. In my opinion the JK was a very good vehicle and never had any electrical issues.
I have a JTR with 37"s and a 2.5" AEV lift with geo correction. Best lift kit I have ever had on a Jeep. Rides and handles great. I am not a fan of spacers, especially on JTR's. Mine handles like a beached whale when new. Terrible springs, and sloppy handling. All fixed with the AEV lift...
Yeah, but part of me thinks everyone needs to recognize that conventional and synthetic oils are two different things and stop trying to compare them. Back in my early years I raced 396 and 427 Chev big blocks. These engines were driven very hard and never suffered an oil related failure. I used...
Agreed. Best to keep tires and wheels in as close to stock offset as possible. I run AEV wheels which mimic closely stock offsets. Second set now on two vehicles with 37's and never had a ball joint issue.
I have had all sizes and 37's are the best all around for me. I had 35" and thought they were fine..........until they weren't so do yourself a favor and just put 37's on it.
Might be a slow or inexperienced mechanic with 12 hours labor shown but otherwise not out of line. My mechanic who is going to install my 5.12's told me to expect it to take one full workday or slightly more though. The last two setups he did for me took a full day each on my old JK.
Looks to be surface rust. Could have been caused during shipment or at dealer by splashing thru a puddle or two that contained salt brine or some caustic cleaner. Wire brush it off and spray undercoating on the areas and it will be fine.
Yes, the video tries but they are comparing apples and oranges. Personally, I think if you change your oil regularly at, say, 3-4K miles, they both probably do a good job and measurable differences are negligible. If you go farther between changes then I think synthetic has a real advantage. The...
Well that makes two of us. I have always been a gauge watcher. Learned that early in life when learning to fly. With the poor over all quality of today's Jeeps (my opinion), I want to see the gauges at a glance without opening a darn ap on a screen in the center of the car. Wish that gauge...
