Did you end up doing this with some eye-bolts inside the rooftop rails?
I'm picking up a contour and would like to have the option of doing the same thing with a ceiling hoist I have. I will have the alucab load bars so I thought about just putting the straps under them and hoisting it up. I...
RealTruck BAK Revolver X4s Hard Rolling Truck Bed Tonneau Cover | 80701
Nearly new. Bought late July 2024. Works great, looks great and always garage kept and used Marine type protective cleaner to keep it from any possible sun damage. Really like this style of cover versus the tri-fold...
TopLift PROS Gladiator Pro Compatible with Jeep Gladiator Hardtop Removal System for Storage and Removal
This is 7 months old, only used 3-4x's last summer. Always kept in garage. Excellent like new condition. Works great, I've decided to go with a cap shell and won't be taking off the hard...
How long does it usually take you to remove your Alucab? I'm considering getting one but thinking the days of removing my hard top completely might be over if I do. I also have a toplift pro and it comes from the back of the hard top to lift up and then slide around, which I don't think would...
Agree the tape they send is a PIA and not worth it. I ended up using some 3m tape and spray adhesive. Adding the Killmat/Dynoskin was probably the best upgrade it really does make a big difference in lowering the sound level when driving interstate speeds. Nice job!
Awesome. Thank you for the quick reply and pics. I just emailed them back I was gonna cancel when he said I needed to start cutting. I have the exact same Mopar rails as you (just picked them up) and ordered the XL Front in black.
Thanks for the pic. Just ordered the XL front in black like yours and I see you have the same side rails which I was questioning if they would fit correctly.
Has anyone just used a single line for the Lange Hoist-A-Top to lift the Gladiator top instead of the two steel cable runs? I have a HF winch already installed over my garage parking and would like to just use that and maybe combine the front/rear bars of the hoist-a-top with one carabiner, etc.
I'd say if you actually wanna do it right take the top off. It's hard enough to get that thing using the glue strips or glue spray with it removed I can't imagine trying to do it with the top mounted.
