You won't get any arguments from me! Put it through a weight loss program, get the transmission tune and change out those stock gears to really put a smile on your face and some MPGs back on the gauge.
Hey y'all,
As the title says, I'm looking to buy a set of 4.10 Mojave or Rubicon take offs to go in my JTRD as I get into bigger tires. I would prefer a set of low mileage gears and local to East Tennessee would be great but I'm willing to pay shipping if the right deal comes along.
Thanks!
I didn't mean to imply an SSD was necessary. In my case, I was dealing with an older laptop with hardware that couldn't keep up due to a failing drive. A virtualized operating system can be resource intensive, especially in handling data between the host hardware and virtual OS. Not saying this...
I was having errors similar to that. I used a 12v power supply that offered a more robust current supply and it seemed to help. The other thing that helped tremendously was replacing the failing hard drive in the windows laptop I was using with a SSD. If the computer can't ingest the data stream...
I believe I ran into that problem and did the old turn it off and back on trick to get it working. Also there was something about the auto/on/off switch only being a 2 position switch and needed to have it in a position where the lights were on.
Thanks. That is kind of what I was thinking on the volume and characteristic sound. I'll probably stick with the factory filter back exhaust. I'd hate to spend good money on something that I'm not going to like.
How are y'all tying your t&s exhaust into the factory filter back setup? Mine came with a 3 inch two bolt flange but factory is 2.5 two bolt. The sealing surface didn't seem substantial so I fabbed up a 2.5-3 dual flange with taper pipe. It added about 3 inches in length that I had to make up...
The trans tune by itself was a dramatic improvement for the truck. It got rid of the sluggishness off the line that nearly ruined the driving experience. The trans tune with the engine tune has woken up the monster in the Gladiator. I just finished up the exhaust install yesterday, swapped in...
I sent via UPS. It was sixty something at the store, labeled repair/return. They refused to deliver a few times and found out, after being scolded by Martin for not using USPS, that it wasn't being delivered because there were brokerage fees due upon receipt by the recipient. Martin told me to...
Thanks for the quick response! It's good to hear that their customer service has gotten better. Sorry about the hassle you're experiencing though with the PG4.
I hear what you're saying about SOTF tunes but I like my tazer too much to give up its functionality.
Things must've changed in the last few months. The +50 towing Stage 2 plus trans tune appears to be 1800 direct from MRTuning whereas it's ~1350 from EOC for the same setup, even after the up charge of 75 bucks for them being out of stock on the power gate 3 units. Since I'm building my own...
Alright, so... I may have been better off buying the true scanmatic tool vs this Chinese knock off. I have successfully cloned my PCM. It took paying for a second PCM from EastCoastMoparts while waiting for the debacle with UPS to be sorted out(the original is still not delivered).
To say the...
If you were closer by, I'd be down to help out. With the shipping involved anyway, I would think it may make sense to have the tuner do the cloning. The tools to DIY would seem to be more cost effective than paying shipping and/or a cloning fee. And you have the benefit of being able to back up...
That's awesome! I'm looking forward to doing the same. I ordered the interface a little while back and it arrived last weekend. I ordered an ECU from EastCoastMoparts before ordering the interface from China but it's still not arrived. UPS did a great job of getting the package from Maryland, up...
This is a fantastic write up. Thank you for sharing! I recently purchased a JTRD and it is missing these switches. I found the Mopar kit for sale but the description indicates that it's not for diesel vehicles. You mentioned there's instructions for the diesel variant; would you mind sharing...
