People with small minds make gross generalizations ...
I don't know anyone that would say diesel engines are unreliable .. Now, diesel engines designed and built in Italy ? Yeah, that's another story ... Its not about the fuel, its about the reputation of Italy for (oh i don't know, maybe...
That's great. And good for you. Ya got lucky. Sometimes fate lands on your side.
The fact is that Italian engines are pale in comparison to USA or German or Japan.
Now for racing ? Well gotta love the Italians. But if you need your ice cream to make it home from Costco, life is better with...
Again, it's not a cigarette lighter. its always been a 12 volt port. The only thing that makes it a lighter is that they stuck a lighter in the 12 volt port.
Take it out. Problem solved.
Did they leave one of the 6 Pistons out ? Did they leave a rat carcas in the air cond vent ? Was it...
Well, Penzoil Platinum is factory fill for the Jeeps (or was in 2020 as far as I knew) so id guess that the oil life monitor would be or should be a reasonably accurate measure ...
In any event, unless anyone is talking about cheapo non synthetic oil, many high quality synthetics are close to...
Nobody knows ? A "guessing game" ?
There are many millions of dollars spent on oil reaearch. There are many dollars spent understanding how to (within reason) calculate the likely life of oil that includes many measurement metrics.
And, all of this research and expense has been done by...
I can't for the life of me figure out why otherwise intelligent people resort to old wives tales, or 20 years ago a diesel mechanic said something that now has relevance to my modern gas engine nonsense.
Or why many has some desire to "improve" things that are fine left alone.
Or to debate...
10 million guys in 1990 - "I don't believe in oil lighter than 10w40"
10 million guys in 1980 - "I dont believe in oil lighter than 20w50."
10 million guys in 1970 - "I don't believe in that synthetic stuff, it ruins engines".
10 million guys in 1960 - "I don't believe in that multi grade...
The current 3.6 pentastar is a 3rd generation engine. Most of the kinks worked out.
Im sure that some naysayers will be along shortly with an axe to grind.
But, (and I agree with what was already stated clearly above). If you don't eff with it it is a very reliable engine. Well established...
On a gladiator only ? These engines are used in most jeeps and other cars. Many way way over 100k.
If your interested in engine issues for this specific engine you will find more high mileage people on the JL forum since it's been around longer.
Yeah, I do understand. You didn't give them a chance based on other forum complaints about something that you yourself have not yet experienced.
Instead you took the time to snap pictures and post to a public forum to make them look terrible in an effort to get a quick response. Your did all...
So a public forum where you place a complaining post is a better place than just emailing their support email ? This will be faster ?
I'd hazard a guess that if you follow their normal warranty process that it will be faster and will get better results than posting a (sort of whiny) post...
Yep. Just air. And air down to 5psi when not using.
No problem off road. Can't even tell it's there.
Pump up to 25 or 30psi when using. Truck sits level and holds steady. Work well.
