The diesel performance in a climb and way above sea level is more about the turbo than the fact that it is a diesel. The 4 cyl turbo as well. Stick a turbo on the 3.6 and you would be amazed. The pentastar is normally aspirated and that is the nature of the beast. You didn't mention early on...
