I'm fascinated by this thread. I have the Yakima Overhaul bars now too. I will have to sell my factory tonneau- which is fine- but I NEED to find a tonneau that will work.
I ordered the Yakima Overhaul HD rack today. I'm excited for it. Pricey but I love that it's adjustable. Great for my kayak-- and maybe an RTT later.
THAT SAID- just two weeks ago I bought the Mopar soft roll-up tonneau- which I love.
I can't use the two together.
Do I try to sell the...
You make an incredible point. I agree 1000%. If I end up making the investment- it should be for something that makes the experience so much more pleasant that everyone involves says "That was easy!" Otherwise, the return on investment over a "normal" ground tent may seem less exciting.
I have not pulled the trigger. I was too busy spending money on a Yakima Overhaul HD bed rack! I needed that before I need wheel upgrade. But I'm still considering it.
Torro skyLux looks like a great value. Lots of add-ons! Need the space for my family- but with those “Free” add-ons it’s about 500 more than the Condor XL. What am I missing. I’m intrigued.

I noticed they are 61...
One last question. I see the tonneau cover is down (rare and awesome fro a bed rack).... is that the Voodoo rack with the Tonneau brackets? If so- Does using a bracket like that affect how much weight you can have on top?
That's an awesome set up. I agree about the price. 3-4k (for IKamper or RoofNest) is a big pill to swallow without knowing if my family will love it.
I have questions-- you being from here is also very helpful.
Have you had two adults and some kids in the tent? Comfortably?
My other worry...
Hey everyone. I picked up my Gladiator last week. Absolutely love it.
I have a wife and three kids- 14, 7, and almost 6 (Girl and two younger boys) -- all like camping.
I'm super intrigued with buying an RTT. I'm doing a lot of research. I could buy a smaller (soft case or hard case) but...
