Yes. Everyone who has upgraded from their non-Rubicon model to the Rubicon factory shocks has talked about how much of an upgrade the shocks alone are. So, yes, for a cheap upgrade, yes. You can always save up and go with something better/bigger later, if you wanted to.
Yes, but those are WAAAAAAY overpriced!!! You can look locally (most people use Facebook marketplace) and can find local, or semi-local, Rubicon takeoff suspension with shocks for less than $300 total. You might be able to get the shocks for $150-200.
How about a f***ing V8 option from the factory instead of putting it in the GD Wrangler!!! Put it in the vehicle that can actually make USE of a V8 (twice the towing and payload of a Wrangler)...
Oh, and a huge discount to either have the dealership install a V8 crate setup in our JT's, or...

And look online for a cheap set of used Rubicon Fox takeoff shocks...
It's the most cost-effective way to get a badass setup.
Incorrect... EFI Live V2 unit can reprogram as many vehicles as you have VIN licenses for. You have to buy VIN licenses for each individual VIN number (vehicle). The program is free, and the V2 tuner comes with it on a CD disk. The V2 tuner is what I use, it was $1,000 back in the day (10+...
I have a Tazer, too... Have you tried it on multiple Jeeps? Or just assuming that i"m wrong...
If I had another Jeep here, I'd test it myself, but I don't...
I know how tuners work, I've been doing EFI Live custom Cummins tuning and Smarty custom tuning for over 13 years. I know what VIN-locking is.
But what I'm saying is, I wonder if he tried it this way: marry, reprgram tire size, unmarry. And see if the tire size stays set. If it does, then...
Not necessarily. I'm pretty sure the ECM changes, like speedometer, t-case ratio, gear ratio, remain, just like as if the dealership reprogrammed them with a StarScan. Those functions are hard-programmed, and not masked with a modified code, like the "Live Functions" the Tazer does.
I'd be...
What i'm saying is, since it does not require licenses per VIN and doesn't VIN-lock you to a specific vehicle, you could probably marry the Tazer, reprogram the tire size, then unmarry the Tazer, then move on down the line. And the ECM would remain reprogrammed as far as tires size calibration...
$125 goes a LONG way towards a Tazer JL Mini... Granted, I think you have to have it "married" to one specific vehicle, but you MIGHT be able to plug it in, and change the tire size on others, and then put it back in the original vehicle you had it married to. If so, that would be your best...
Im Running 37x13.50 tires on 20x10 wheels w/ 4.56” BS & -24mm Offset wheel. They don’t stick out very much at all, less than 3”.
They stuff well, too.
I was just thinking that... Street tires, lowering the rear, never removing the top, and probably never using 4x4 (given the other choices)... Then why at that point even buy a Gladiator or Wrangler?
But, It’s his money and his vehicle, he can do what he wants... No matter how much it...
