You should be fine with the stock links. My '23 Willys had so must rake the sway bar arms were angled up. Adding the TF 1.5" spacefr lift got them parallel to the frame.
Ditto. I installed the Teraflex 1.5” leveling kit on my new ‘23 Willy to get rid of the rake. Doing so reduced the caster angle. On a Forum tip I also added the longer (1/4”) lower control arms from the Mopar 2” lift with very good results. They are very inexpensive and easy for a good alignment...
I got all that. But the kit didn't come with shock extensions (that's why I added them), it came with bump stop extensions that don't appear to be needed for any reason other than perhaps you're going to add too large a tire for the available clearance. If Jeep designed the suspension correctly...
Core t, that’s why I added the shock extension. My question was why add the bump stop extension to a spacer lift, where like on this one the shock isn’t changed and the total travel remains as is, but with a loss of droop created by the thickness of the spacer. The spacer raises the upper spring...
Teraflex has included that little stamped sheet metal wrench with its kits since the days of their first JK lifts. Makes this pita job a little easier.
I scratched my head on this and concluded there is no effect whatsoever on the total stock suspension travel when the spacer kit is installed. The spacer raises the frame 1.5", which means it also raises the upper bump stop and the upper shock mount. That mean it has extended the shock rod, at...
I put BFG KO2 285/70s (32.8"), the TF 1.5" levelling kit, their 2" shock extension kit and the Mopar 2" lift front control arms on my new Willys and it looks & drives great. Looks like it could easily have accommodated 35s.
We have five '21 Gladiators in Jeep tour service. One of our Moab-based JTs lost a starter at a stop light. ESS shut the engine off and it wouldn't restart. I doubted it was the starter, but as it was still in warranty we shipped it off to Grand Junction and the dealer confirmed the starter was...
Right after I got my new '23 Willys I installed the TF 1.5" leveling kit. (The poor thing sat so nose down it looked like a female cat in heat.) At the same time I added TF's 2" shock extension kit and the Mopar 2" lift kit's longer control arms. I bumped the tire size to 285/70s (33s), set...
Dealers get something called "Holdback" on new vehicle sales. When they sell a vehicle the manufacturer sends them cash that varies based upon the vehicle in question, it's invoice price, etc. So, when they're selling at "Invoice" they're still making a profit from the holdback. With a slow...
For the sake of keeping my JT up to date I'd do the update, but IMHO these built in NAV systems are a general fail. They're never worth the cost, updates are slow and out of date when they do arrive and they usually come with some Sirius apendage cost that doesn't die when you do. If I could...
Dealers are desperate to get the '23s off their lots, there's no way they'll take them in trade for anything like book value. The heavy discounting has gutted used Gladiator values. It's good for us that want them, but lomng term we'll not be happy with residual values.
You should be fine with 3.73s and 33” tires. I changed out the 255/75 (32.1”) tires that came on my new Willys with Rubi spec 285/70s (32.8”) KO2s and the performance is excellent even at our altitude. I corrected the Speedo for tire size and it hits the top two gears without hunting. This is my...
A vote here for Teraflex. I’ve run their Monster track bars front & rear on my JK for years and 90k miles with no issues whatsoever. Still on the original joints. Easily adjusted on the vehicle, sleeve & clamp design.
I purchased a new ‘23 Willys a couple months ago. I didn’t go for a Rubi because this will be my daily driver and have a well built JK for the trails. It came with (wretched IMHO) BFG KM2s in 255/75 R17s (32.1”). I swapped them out immediately for BFG KO2s in 285/75 R17s. They are virtually 33s...
I have a new ‘23 Willys. I live about 900 feet above town where I work, shop, etc. it’s a steady, gradual 45mph climb of about 3 miles. The JT usually wants to hold onto 4th gear and 3,000 rpm the entire way. Occasionally but rarely it will shift to 5th gear on its own and drop to about 2,500...
I notice on our tour JTs what I consider rather high 200+ trans temps. The trans cooler looks rather skimpy, so adding an auxiliary like we do on first gen JKs seems perhaps a good move. The JL/JT trans is a superb unit, no sense in burning it up. Not sure why ET would recommend Redline when...
If no one has posted a pic of them yet, here is a red front shock with number from the last ‘23 Rubicon Gladiator on my local dealers’ lot. No idea production date. It’s in that greenish yellow, slow sellers around here. It’s a different number than the fronts on my new ‘23 Willys
