I think there will be a JT model next year. I'll wait.

  8. Garage woes...

Thatā€˜s because a typical 20’ x 20’ two-car garage is designed to fit (barely) two cars. You’d want at least 24’ x 24’ to fit anything else. Unfortunately most builders do the minimum, or municipal zoning bylaws limit the size. For example, I’m building a new house right now. The bylaw states...
  9. Official Reveal: Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 V8 Hemi

I agree it is going to be a bragging rights model. $90k is a lot of cheddar; I don't think it will be that much. Keep in mind it is the dealer markup that is charging $10k-15k for a 2" lift and tire package, not Jeep. From the factory, it will be cheaper; though like any limited edition model...
  10. Anyone come up with a way to mount an awning over the side doors yet?

If you don’t want to wait for the Garvin rack or if the DeeZee isn’t what you need, Maximus-3 has released their roof rack:https://maximus-3.com/jtgladiator-/maximus-3-jt-roof-rack-system It uses a 52x56ā€ RhinoRack Platform, so any RhinoRack awning attachment will work. Or, RhinoRack has...

Did you ever figure out the ASS service light issue?
  12. Took New Gladiator in for wind noise and it came back with scratches

Yeah, they damage it, they fix it as good as new. Looks like they damaged the interior panel as well. Hopefully they stand behind it and don’t try and pass it off as previous damage or done by others. Let us know what the end result is!
  13. Usethis83 Gobi Rubicon Project

Looks great! I know ICON is big with the Tacoma crowd; not as popular with Jeepers. Really interested in hearing your impressions, as that looks like a great product!
  14. Official Reveal: Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 V8 Hemi

*sigh*...and I don’t think you understand how two different jobs need two different tools. If you want one tool to do it all, then you sacrifice some of the benefits of using the right tool. For towing, you can’t beat a diesel...if only the JT/JL had sufficient cooling and a larger tank. The...
  15. Official Reveal: Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 V8 Hemi

I don't think you understand how the 4XE hybrid works.
  16. Official Reveal: Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 V8 Hemi

Mopar retails the 392 for just shy of $10k, so your buddy's price makes sense; nice of him to pass on the savings, but I'd expect the same from a buddy. ;) $4-5k for "all the stuff required for the swap" is a bargain...most kits are $10k+ for the JL/JT when reusing the factory 8-speed. Not...
  17. Official Reveal: Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 V8 Hemi

No way a shop could/would do a Hellcat or SRT Hemi for $25k unless the engine was not included (a Hellcat crate engine is $20k, 392 SRT is $10k). Rubitrux charges $58k and $35k respectively for the swap. A 5.7 swap is $24k, but that’s not what you said originally.
  18. Garage woes...

First off: congrats on your first home purchase!! :like: Very exciting. I agree with others that suggest backing in will solve your problem. Most garage doors are 7’ tall, and most garages are ~20’ long. Even if the garage door fully opened horizontal (they don’t), you’d have ~13’ of clear...
  19. What tires look aggressive but don’t ride much worse.

What most people will probably recommend: BFG KO2s or Nitto Ridge Grapplers.
  20. They had the capability, they made it better, stronger, faster...

Lol...exactly. I'm not sure why all the drama over a switch panel. The OEM ones are great and if I were ordering from the factory, I'd get them. HOWEVER, I wish they had a clean way of replacing the switch covers or add labels that identify what they do. It's not hard to remember which is...
