This is a great thread. Lots of nostalgia here. Here's my first Jeep (CJ7, 1976 Levi Edition). I'm in the picture at the age of 12. Dad gave me the Jeep for my 16th birthday. Loved that thing.
I didn't take many pictures of my other Jeeps, but here's the 2005 Rubicon (with my wifey and one of...
Bought a Jeep that is a truck. I've been driving Wranglers for years, and when the JT came out I was excited but not sure if I would get one.
We hit the trails a minimum of once a month for many years. My wife talked me into the JT and I'm super happy. We've had it since July of 2020 and we...
2.5 inch Rubicon Express with Fox 2.0 shocks, RockJock steering system, Bilstein damper, and 37 inch Mickey Thompson Baja Boss tires. Only had it on the trails once so far, but it's feeling pretty good.
I lifted my jeep a couple weeks ago and put bigger tires on. Now when I drive at night, many drivers in the oncoming lane will flash their bright lights at me, as if giving a warning that my brights are on.
My brights are never on with this happens, and I always flash them my brights to show...
Gave mine a bath today. I didn't have the energy to buff out all the scratches. One of the trails we hit regularly has a really narrow, branch-filled pathway.
The lift is mostly Rubicon Express parts, with Fox 2.0 shocks, RockJock steering system, and a Bilstein steering damper. I'm happy with it so far... we'll see how it does as I hit the trails this spring. I love your JT. That's the color I wanted originally, but my wife talked me into black. :)
I tend to keep my Jeeps a long time. I plan on keeping this one, maybe "forever". I really love it. My wife and I enjoy wheeling in it, and it suits my needs. Can't see getting rid of it.
Today we hit the logging trails about an hour from our home. Mostly light trails with some mud, ruts, and occasional rocks. We went to the top of the small mountain (about 3200 feet up) where there's an abandoned military radar site that was part of the early warning system in the western U.S...
Just took mine out for the first time with the new lift. Went to the local logging trails just to break it in a little. Basically just mud and some light rough terrain. I did crawl a small rock area for the fun of it. It performed beautifully. Pictures are from the end of our trip today, airing...
Mine is my daily driver, but it is also a part of our hobby (my wife and I). We use it to tow our tiny camper (we go camping about once a month). We also go wheeling in it. We don't go on difficult rock crawls, but we do like hitting the dunes, running logging trails, and light rock crawling.
I've never been one to name my vehicles, but my wife always names hers. About two years ago we got a tiny camper (NuCamp Tab S) and one night while camping, my wife named our camper RV (pronounced Arvee). Bad comedy at its finest.
So, when we got the Gladiator in 2020, I just had to name it...
I just joined and wanted to say hello. Been a "Jeeper" since 1980. Traded my built 2005 Wrangler Rubicon for a Gladiator Rubicon in 2020. So far I've only added little extras (bumper, winch, cold air intake, etc.). This weekend I'm putting a 2.5 inch lift and some 37 inch Mickey Thompson Baja...
